The VP, Sales - Home & Hospice will be responsible for developing and implementing the sales strategy for our Home & Hospice Business Vertical within ResMed’s Resident Care Software Division and directly influencing the future of the organization by focusing on new business sales. With a passion for growing the business, this person will own the development and implementation of a detailed, repeatable, and predictable net new sales strategy, and build a strong sales team to accelerate growth and achieve aggressive targets. In addition to strong individual sales skills, this person must possess strong leadership skills and the ability to attract, develop, and motivate high performing sales professionals.
Let’s talk about Responsibilities
- Serve as member of the sales leadership team participating in the development and execution of commercial strategy while driving sustainable long-term growth goals
- Prospect and close relationships with key target accounts while building lasting relationships with prospects, industry stakeholders and key customers.
- Monitor pipeline and leads, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth
- Establish both short-term results and long-term strategy, including forecasting
- Fill management gaps by building and training individuals
- Develop and implement robust sales management processes – pipeline, account planning, and proposals
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships with C-level executives of key target accounts
- Evangelize the company through participation in key industry events
- Successful in finding any and every go-to-market opportunity that provides leverage
- Build high performing sales team through attracting top sales talent, training, and team member development
- Monitor and ensure sales team meets and exceeds quarterly and annual sales objectives and quotas
Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 5-10+ years of experience in selling SaaS-based solutions into the healthcare industry with a preference of selling into the acute and/or post-acute markets
- 5+ years of experience leading sales teams
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, technology, or a relevant field preferred
- Proven success with complex enterprise sales characterized by long sales cycles, multiple decision makers and coordination of numerous supporting resources
- Working experience with sales and marketing automation systems to be able to successfully deliver pipeline and activity reporting. We are currently using Salesforce.com.
- Ability to analyze and assess target account needs and requirements through a consultative process and gain cross functional alignment to drive sales
- A strong understanding from a sales perspective of accounting, business, or healthcare solutions
- Goal Oriented; naturally motivated to reach goals
- Strong consultative and communication skills possessing an innate ability to channel different points of view
- Able to establish and maintain excellent relationships and credibility quickly
- Create team atmosphere with team while achieving key objectives
- Strong negotiation skills
- Self-starter, results driven, highly motivated, high energy, with a proven track record of exceeding quota objectives
- Ability to travel approximately 25 - 30%.

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
This role is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan with a target of $100,000 annually.
At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current base range for this position is: $131,000 - $164,000
For remote positions located outside of the US, pay will be determined based the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
