PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

This individual will report to the Managing Director of Dealer Solutions and will be responsible for managing all aspects of Major Account activity within Dealer Solutions including but not limited to:

  •  Working closely with the Manager Director of the Dealer Solutions Business unit to develop strategies to maximize penetration for National Accounts, Large vendors (to be defined) and Consolidators. Develop strategies and take ownership of Industry Associations (EG, BTA), Dealer Associations (EG,ICDA) and ERP/CRM (E-Automate/Compass).
  • Assist in identifying, prospecting, presenting to and closing new opportunities identified above within identified markets
  • No Account will be contacted unless agreed to by the Managing Director. An ongoing prospect list in Sales Force (Master Lead Base-MLB) are those leads that are limited for commission purposes.
  • Maintain corporate relationships at the Executive level of accounts to enhance LEAF’s endorsement as necessary.
  • Your activities are primarily programmatic in nature not to oversee deal flow
  • Work with the various departments at the business unit and LEAF corporate to develop market responsive programs and products that will allow the appropriate sales channel to enjoy wider acceptance within the distribution channels of the opportunity and within the greater industry.
  • Make periodic visits with LEAF field sales personnel to those entities described in the first bullet point.
  • Conduct periodic review sessions with senior management to those entities described in the first bullet point.
  • Effectively communicate within LEAF management team to develop and deliver customized programs necessary to onboard targeted prospects.
  • Develop and execute the rollout plans for new programs.
  • In general, be the “face” for Business Development within Dealer Solutions

Compensation for this position will be commiserate with that of a Senior sales position in the industry and will consist of a number of result-oriented components primarily the funding volume generated from MLB.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong consultative and solution selling skills and demonstrated track record of success
  • Outstanding oral presentation, negotiation, and written communication skills with the ability to interact and present to all levels of management.
  • Willingness to work in a fast paced, sales oriented, challenging environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Self-motivated achiever who budgets time wisely in prospecting, qualifying and managing accounts.
  • Equipment leasing and/or business essential equipment sales/management experience required.
  • Existing relationships in all entities outlined in the first bullet point.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $100,611.94 - $167,686.57 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation. The range listed above corresponds to our national pay range for this role. The specific pay range applicable to you may vary based on your location.
