We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Account Executive to drive sales for SMX Elevate. SMX Elevate, is a technology-enabled, outcomes-focused approach to solving business challenges for the most highly regulated commercial and government customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, possess a deep understanding of business processes, be well-versed in the cloud ecosystem, will excel at solution-based, consultative selling of services, and excel at building and nurturing strong client relationships. The Account Executive will have the rare opportunity to work in an emerging business unit within a much larger organization with demonstrable cloud capabilities and a well-oiled proposal and capture team prepared to support large-scale pursuits. This is a remote position supporting a Herndon, VA based team with travel required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive revenue: Identify and target potential clients, present compelling value propositions for SMX Elevate, and close deals.
- Develop client relationships: Build and maintain long-term partnerships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Lead the sales process: Prepare and deliver impactful sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and exceed sales targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Partner with marketing, delivery, and other teams to ensure successful client engagements.
- Stay ahead of the curve: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to effectively position SMX Elevate in the market.
- Contribute to business growth: Identify and pursue new opportunities to drive overall business success.
Required Skills/Experience
- 5+ years of successful sales experience in the cloud technology space.
- Proven track record in a consultative sales role, consistently exceeding sales targets and achieving revenue goals.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Desired Skills/Experience
- Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance.
- Experience: Familiarity with FedRAMP and/or DoD RMF accreditations.
- Certifications: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Practitioner or Associate-level certifications.

The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications. The proposed salary for this position is:$134,000—$201,000 USD
