Compensation:        $242,000 - $302,000  (Range applies to US candidates only) + Benefits/Variable Comp/Equity - Range may vary based on experience.

SUMMARY

The VP of Presales, North America, is a strategic leader whose primary responsible is to Business Partner with the North American SVP for Sales and his leadership team by driving the sales pipeline, assessing client functional and technical requirements to deliver solutions that enhance efficiency, transparency, and value in the sales cycle.

This individual will lead the North America Presales function to drive growth, strategic partnerships, and customer success across international markets. This leadership role is responsible for establishing and executing the vision, strategies, and goals for the Presales teams, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regional market needs.  The VP will oversee various Presales functions including Presales Enablement, Demo Development, support of marketing and sales activities while driving innovation and supporting centralized Presales functions.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Sales Partnership: 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive pre-sales strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
  • Lead and sponsor key deals and accounts, ensuring alignment on priorities and progress through regular business reviews with sales management. 

Tactical Sales Partnership: 

  • Develop opportunities and account strategies, engaging the appropriate presales team members to support them.
  • Conduct deal clinics, reviews, dry runs, and dress rehearsals.
  • Balance presales investment with the value of each opportunity, ensuring superior demos and presentations through consistent pre-sales processes. 

Sales Execution Tasks: 

  • Collaborate with sales management and account executives to plan account strategies and participate in account reviews. 
  • Demonstrate innovative approaches to sales cycle and pipeline development. 
  • Engage the appropriate people for qualified sales opportunities, including identifying a presales lead/solution captain. 
  • Build strategic partnerships with key decision-makers in customer organizations.  

Team Management: 

  • Create and sustain an environment where the team is inspired, informed, educated, enabled, recognized, and rewarded.
  • Conduct team meetings, 1:1s, and best practice sharing sessions. 
  • Provide feedback and coaching to help team members hone their skills. 
  • Lead a solution or industry-focused community of practice to provide enablement and a voice on the field to solution management.  

Business Improvement Activities: 

  • Lead or participate in projects and initiatives across Sales Consulting to solve problems and improve business operations. 
  • Management of Pre-Sales Teams: 
    • Oversee the Technical Pre-Sales Team, Demo Development Team, Partner Pre-Sales Team, Value Consulting Team, POC Pre-Sales Team, and Pre-Sales Enablement Team. 
  • Work with directors and leaders of these teams to ensure effective operations and synchronization with sales and pre-sales messaging. 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • BS Degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable in Computer Science or Technology-related field. 
  • Technical experience with OneStream XF or similar CPM tools. 
  • 10+ years of relevant presales experience
  • 5+ years of people management experience.
  • Extraordinary presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and identify the right solution for customer needs. 
  • Experience with business analysis and financial modeling. 
  • Background in Finance/Accounting. 
  • Impeccable attention to detail. 
  • Strong listening skills. 

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • MBA or relevant Master’s degree. 
  • Industry certification(s).

  • Strong presentation skills. 
  • Credible, professional, results-driven, and competitive.
