Technical Cloud Strategist - Azure

Red Hat is looking for a high-caliber, experienced, and motivated technologist, a leader who possesses a unique balance of technical depth, business acumen, strategic thinking and strong interpersonal skills to launch and scale a project with strategic significance and high exposure. In this role you are responsible for one of Red Hat top-tier cloud partners (Microsoft Azure) to construct highly differentiated, scalable, flexible, and resilient solutions that accelerate our ability to innovate and address our joint-business customers' needs and solve problems. As a trusted customer advocate, you will work to understand business customers’ needs and provide guidance and best practices on how to leverage cloud partnership and Red Hat technology to solve their problems with innovative solutions. Vital to this role is the ability to connect technology with measurable business value and help customers solve problems. You will own the overall technical relationship and work with a matrix team to engage with cloud companies up to C-level.

What you will do:

  • Lead one of the top-tier hyperscaler partnership vision and strategy, business plans, and technical innovation and execution to deliver joint revenue, achieve revenue growth, and drive Red Hat thought leadership in the cloud market.

  • Accelerate solution integration efforts: Nurture technical and business relationships with one of Red Hat top hyperscaler partners to enhance our strategic value, maximize joint opportunity, fuel platform/solution integration efforts and enhance profitable long-term growth.

  • Aligning product roadmaps, enhancing platform integration between Equinix and strategic partners to elevate service delivery to enhance current selling motions and lay out the path for future customer pipeline. 

  • Ensure consistently accurate forecasted business, deliver the global quarterly and annual revenue objectives.

  • Ensure execution excellence: Build the bridge from long-term partnership strategy to execution, ensuring that the entire organization has the direction, information, resources and support to successfully execute in the field.

  • Streamline accountability: Serve as a single point of accountability for technical and business engagement with the hyperscaler partner to improve the alliance experience.

  • Define and track objective key results for financial performance, execution excellence, customer and partner satisfaction for the hyperscaler partnership, holding team accountable for performance.

  • Shape a collaborative, transparent, and entrepreneurial culture, one that embraces coaching, is inclusive, and has a strong focus on the belonging, growth and development of all its team members.

  • Forge trusting partnerships across global, cross-functional teams: engage and align team of key players and stakeholders in a way that inspires achievement of shared outcomes, ensures optimal sales, support and service delivery to key global partners and effectively balances both global and local needs.

What you will bring:

  • 15+ years of post-degree technical business development, product management, solution architect, or system engineer experience in the high-tech industry, either in one of the hyperscale cloud organizations and/or cloud infrastructure and ecosystem dependent services.

  • Strong, proven competence in working independently to structure, negotiate, and close partnerships and master service agreements.

  • Exceptional ability to communicate with and influence both technical and non-technical leadership.

  • Experience developing partner prioritization and engagement strategies, partner policies and multi-dimensional partnership structures.

  • Experience working closely with internal software and product leadership to deliver new products and services built by a partner.

  • Demonstrated high judgment and willingness to roll up sleeves to do what is necessary to meet team goals.

  • Bachelor’s degree.
     

Nice to have:

  • Master’s degree in engineering, physical or biological sciences, and/or MBA.

  • Ability to think strategically, innovatively and creatively using sound business judgment and quantitative skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, schedule trade-offs and opportunistic new ideas with technical employees.

  • Outstanding presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences.

  • Proven leadership, problem- solving, project management skills, and strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and generate velocity in make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; strong proclivity bias for action.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to prove theories back up assumptions and make decisions.
     

The salary range for this position is $177,350.00 - $292,500.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
