Job Description:
Arrow is seeking a highly qualified Sales Engineer to support our client base in the Americas region around watsonx.data or watson.ai. As a Technical Solutions Architect for watsonx.data or watsonx.ai, you will play a critical role in driving the sales process by providing technical expertise and support Arrow’s sales team, partners and their clients. You will not only help customers understand the value of watsonx.data and watsonx.ai, an advanced AI-driven data platform, but you will be co-architecting solutions alongside partners and their opportunities. You will work closely with sales teams to tailor solutions that meet the unique needs of each partner and/or client.
As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for leading partner AI conversations to drive innovation, problem-solving, and user-centric solutions to our business partners focused on AI and watsonx suite of products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify challenges, ideate Ai solutions, and implement strategies in Arrow Solutions Lab that enhance user experience and drive business growth. You will be working partners to access, query, and analyze data stored across multiple systems. Demonstrating reductions of data silos and provide a unified view of data across various sources. You will be working closely with Arrow engineering covering watsonx.governance. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker, empathetic listener, and skilled facilitator with a passion for driving positive change.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Establish relationships by working with the Arrow Brand teams, partners and customers in support of joint Sales, Marketing and Services team objectives and engages and leverages resources, abilities, budgets and personnel as appropriate.
- Manage, prepare, and integrate trusted data from various sources and formats, unlocking AI insights faster and improving the relevance and precision of AI applications.
- Provide ideation and prototyping guidance on IBM watsonx.data or watsonx.ai to generate and refine ideas through ideation techniques such as sketching, prototyping, and storyboarding. Rapidly prototype and iterate on solutions to gather feedback and validate hypotheses.
- Solution Support: Support the solutions architecture plan and be a hands-on “builder” in client-facing engagements. Advise on solution architecture to align with platform best practices and focus on our clients’ target environment to ease transition to deployment.
- Cross-Functional collaboration and team building will be a major focus. Working closely with cross-functional brand teams including product managers, engineers, and marketers to integrate Ai into all sales stages and innovation initiatives.
- Hands on administrative work in our Arrow Solutions Lab developing and refining watsonx.data and watsonx.ai use cases.
- A Technical Solutions Architect will develop and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations, illustrating how watsonx.data and watsonx.ai can enable clients to manage, prepare, and integrate trusted data from various sources and formats, unlocking AI insights faster and improving the relevance and precision of AI applications.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends, advancements, and ethical considerations in AI.
- Research, develop and publish thought leadership content for broad audiences
- Candidate must be an active participant in social media related promotions and events. Providing weekly posting on Ai topics and trends
- Developing and delivering compelling presentations and demonstrations, illustrating how watsonx.data and watsonx.ai can enable clients to manage, prepare, and integrate trusted data from various sources and formats, unlocking AI insights faster and improving the relevance and precision of AI applications.

What We Are Looking For:
- 4-year degree with 5 years of related experience
- In depth-experience applying IBM design thinking methodologies to solve complex problems and drive innovation.
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Sales Engineer, with a focus on chatbot technologies and Ai with Hands-on experience developing and deploying chatbots on Watson or similar platforms
- In the role, you will support storing any type of data (structured, semi-structured, and unstructured) and make it directly accessible for AI and Business Intelligence (BI) use cases for our partners. Additionally, it allows attaching data sources and storage to reduce data duplication and storage costs.
- Ability to integrate watsonx.data and watsonx.ai with IBM’s AI and machine learning tools, enabling advanced analytics and Ai model deployment on top of the data.
- Developing use cases with watsonx.data and watsonx.ai that incorporates automation capabilities, showcasing the ease to managing workflows and data pipelines.
- Working collaboratively with other engineers to integrate watsonx.data with other IBM products, including IBM Cloud Pak for Data, demonstrating a cohesive ecosystem for data management, analytics, and Ai.
- Strong facilitation skills with the ability to lead workshops and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A successful candidate possesses detailed product/technology/industry knowledge on the IBM SW stack. In-depth knowledge of watsonx suite and other Ai associated hardware, software, virtual & cloud technologies and applications.
- Ability to present effectively in front of large groups.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Possess verbal, written, and interpersonal skills that are engaging, compelling and influential.
- Ability to travel 50% or more of the time
- Certification(s) on IBM SW stack
- Certification(s) or experience in IBMi, Windows and Linux operating systems (RHEL preferred)
- Certification(s) or experience in virtualization & container technologies
Work Arrangement:
Fully Remote: Must be able to travel to an Arrow/Partner/Client office location as requested by Arrow leadership

Hiring Range
$151,600.00 - $200,000.00 OTE
