Regional Account Manager - West Coast (Hospital Sales)

Symmetrio is recruiting a Regional Account Manager – West Coast for a growing national medical device company. The candidate will be responsible for managing existing accounts, creating and implementing effective strategies to develop new customers and building revenue growth in your territory. This position requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and proven experience building a territory through relationship development. Previous experience in hospital sales/medical imaging sales is a plus. The travel commitment is 2-3 nights per week depending on location, so the candidate must live near a major hub airport within the territory.

The total compensation for this position is $125K on-target earnings (OTE).

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple customer relationships within assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including hospital administrators, purchasing, biomedical engineering, and other decision makers.
  • Identify new business opportunities and lead contract negotiations to drive growth within accounts.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to grow market share.
  • Generate key insights through market analysis to clearly differentiate solutions offerings from competitors and build rationale for implementing new solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams, including marketing, product development and customer service, to ensure successful implementation of sales plans
  • Maintain accurate and up to date account information and sales forecasts in CRM system.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree, graduate degree preferred, in a business or science related field
  • 5+ years of multi-state outside sales experience; preferably on the West coast
  • Preference given to candidates with previous experience in the Medical Device/Technology industry. Long sales cycle/capital equipment experience is a must.
  • Proven experience in selling to the C level suites of Hospitals and Universities as well as with procurement and operations leadership
  • Demonstrated sales success in attaining quota objectives, managing account relationships, and developing new account opportunities.
  • Excellent written, presentation and oral communications skills are a must.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
