Product Account Manager - Health Systems

JOB OVERVIEW:

This position will be responsible for driving growth and optimizing sales of awarded product contracts to health systems through Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs). The Product Account Manager – Health Systems will be responsible for collaborating with Henry Schein Brands and Henry Schein owned manufacture companies that have existing GPO contracts to cross reference conversion opportunities for awarded sales contracts. This role collaborates with Field Sales Consultants (FSCs), Product Category Managers, and manufacture representatives to leverage relationships with GPOs, and to develop strategies to maximize contract utilization across large healthcare systems. The Product Account Manager plays a key role in aligning business development efforts, supporting RFPs, and implementing comprehensive go-to-market strategies between Global Distribution Group (GDG) Health Schein Product Group (HSPG) and Henry Schein Brands (HSB).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: 

  • Lead the development and execution of a targeted sales strategy to increase product penetration within health systems awarded through GPO contracts. 

  • Partner with Field Sales Consultants (FSCs), Sales Leadership, and other internal teams to identify and pursue key opportunities within health systems. 

  • Create and present strategic sales information to board-level executives, purchasing managers at customers, and internal executives. 

  • Develop account-specific strategies to drive compliance and utilization of contracted products. 

  • Lead conversion strategies with existing manufacture GPO contracts and Henry Schein customers. 

  • Identify, collaborate and develop strategies to convert to Henry Schein products by working with internal sales teams.  

  • RFP and Proposal Support: 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring alignment with business objectives and competitive positioning. 

  • Provide insights and guidance on proposal development, pricing strategies, and differentiation of Henry Schein’s value proposition for health system customers. 

  • Relationship Management: 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within health systems and GPOs. 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to health system executives, highlighting the benefits and strategic value of Henry Schein’s product solutions. 

  • Collaboration & Cross-functional Alignment: 

  • Work closely with Medical Field Sales Consultants (FSCs), Marketing, and Product Category Managers to ensure seamless execution of go-to-market strategies. 

  • Support regional teams by providing sales tools, training, and resources to improve contract performance. 

  • Pursuit Tracking & Business Development: 

  • Manage and track health system sales opportunities through robust pipeline management and CRM tools. 

  • Analyze performance data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
