Job Description
Job Title: Partner Strategy Director
Department & Team: Partner Strategy & Programs
Reports to: Kyle Kuntz
Location: Remote


Summary:

The Partner Strategy Director at Genesys is a pivotal role responsible for defining and executing the overall strategy for our partner ecosystem. This role involves developing strategic initiatives to optimize partner engagement, drive growth, and expand market presence through our network of technology partners, resellers, system integrators, and other strategic alliances. The successful candidate will work closely with Sales & Sales Leadership, Revenue Operations, Marketing, Product, Professional Services, and Customer Success teams to align partner strategies with Genesys’ business goals, ensuring long-term success for both Genesys and our partners.


Key Responsibilities:

As the Partner Strategy Director, you will:

  • Conduct strategic planning and development by:

    • Helping to define and execute our global partner strategy that aligns with Genesys’ goals, with a focus on how we unlock the power of our Strategic Technology Partnerships and Global Systems Integrator relationships.

    • Working with partner relationship managers, develop and implement joint business plans with partners to drive pipeline growth, capture revenue, and create unique value propositions.

  • Continually monitor and optimize our Partner Ecosystem mix by:

    • Partnering with Revenue Operations colleagues and Strategic Finance to measure performance and forecast shifts in the ecosystem mix.

    • Identifying industry trends and understanding our partners’ objectives and challenges.

    • Developing strategies, GTM models, and incentives that drive our ideal mix in the short and long-term.

  • Designing and launching partner incentives that:

    • Motivate strategic partners to lead with Genesys,

    • Minimize competitive threats,

    • And create demand in strategic markets, industries, and sales motions.

  • Create and execute enablement strategies that:

    • Ensure partners are equipped with the knowledge, tools, and resources to drive Genesys solutions in the market.

    • And solidify Genesys as the sole leader in AI-powered Experience Orchestration in the SaaS industry.

  • Serving as a thought leadership advocate by:

    • Proactively engaging with Genesys colleagues, partners, and influencers in direct discussion, at industry-relevant events, and in regular outreach engagements to learn best practices,

    • Hosting opportunities for other Genesys team members to learn about our strategy,

    • Ensuring our sales teams understand our strategy and can deploy it effectively,

    • Understanding regional intricacies regarding partner strategies and requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in partner strategy, business development, or alliances within the SaaS or technology industry.

  • Experience developing and nurturing relationships with large, global partners including Global Service Integrators and Strategic technology Partners.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful partner strategies that drive business growth and market expansion.

  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models, cloud technologies, and the partner ecosystem, including resellers, system integrators, and technology alliances.

  • Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to use data-driven insights to guide decision-making.

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.  

$139,050.00 - $272,850.00
