Job Summary:
The Account Sales Specialist will be responsible for sales of imaging products to customers in designated accounts (hospitals and clinics) within his/her assigned geographical area. He/She will develop new business as well as maintain and grow existing business through effective selling skills and techniques. The Account Executive must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management, physicians, technical staff and patients.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement marketing plans aligned with regional business objectives to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability.
• Determine customer needs and develop effective sales strategies to meet those objectives.
• Effectively negotiate prices and terms of sale and prepare proposals for each potential client.
• Provide input on product design and service features based on customer feedback.
• Assist in training end users on equipment operation and image quality optimization.
• Communicate market trends and competitive activity to Business Unit Management.
• Maintain positive relationships with key decision makers and end users at all accounts.
• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to various audiences.
• Develop a positive ongoing relationship with all customers by providing them with information regarding new products, services and other relevant information pertaining to their account.
• Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
• Monitor territory expenses and adhere to GE's compliance standards.
• Provide consultative sales support to existing clients.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience: minimum three years successful sales experience in medical imaging industry preferred.
• Demonstrated success in meeting sales goals.
• Knowledge of hospital operations and organization preferred.
• Ability to understand financial concepts and terminology relative to health care industry.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Highly motivated to succeed; self-driven to exceed expectations.
• Results oriented; focuses on achieving desired outcomes.
• Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Travel Requirements: 50–75%
