Equitable is looking for a Regional Vice President (Hybrid Wholesaler) to join our 1290 Funds team. This RVP will be responsible for driving growth of 1290 Fund sales in their assigned region. You will work remotely with up to 20% travel as needed.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage relationships with existing clients.
  • Assess clients' needs in order to promote new products.
  • Educate and train clients on 1290 Funds.
  • Develop new relationships with independent firm Reps primarily in the independent channel.
  • Responsible for territory management and organization.
  • Drive meeting activity primarily through virtual meetings.
  • Maintain sales goals. Candidate must be able to identify, create and implement fund sales opportunities.
  • The candidate will be responsible for communication with NSM and Salesdesk Manager on an ongoing basis.
  • Ability to travel within sales territory up to 20% as needed.
  • Develop new producers while retaining existing producers to grow market share.
  • Use Salesforce (CRM) to log activity, maintain pipeline, follow up on leads, and analyze opportunities.
  • Managing a budget and timely expense reporting
  • Knowledge of territory management practices, tools, and techniques; ability to manage and maximize investment business for multiple geographical areas.

The base salary for this position is $70,000. This role is eligible for variable compensation.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years sales experience in independent channel
  • 2 years experience in sales of investments
  • FINRA Series 6 or 7, and Series 63 Licenses

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in selling investment products to fee-based Advisors.
  • Direct Sales Experience
  • Skilled communicator with ability to simplify complicated details for various audiences
  • Strong technology skills (Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, mobile device application use for sales situations)
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style
  • Ability to develop strategies and business plans to deliver and exceed expected business objectives and results
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail

Client Relationship Management: Knowledge of client relationship; ability to address issues critical issues to meet client needs and maintain engaged, partnering relationship with business partners and clients.

Effective Presentations: Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques; ability to present information to groups with the appropriate degree of formality.

Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the organization's industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters; ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

Selling: Knowledge of diverse sales tools, tactics and techniques and ability to use these to persuade a person to buy a product or service.

Strategic Sales Planning: Knowledge of sales principles, processes, techniques and tools; ability to develop sales plans that are future-oriented, support business strategy and reflect understanding of emerging, as well as existing, opportunities and markets.
