We’re on a mission to simplify the vet industry’s non-billable processes, driving efficiency, accuracy, and peace of mind for clinic staff.   Job Summary:   GlobalVetLink is hiring a hands-on Sales Leader to lead our Sales & Success teams, two pivotal components of GVL’s go-to-market strategy and rapid growth. You will execute both tactically and strategically through building & leading our A-player Sales and Success teams, leveraging data to fine-tune our sales operations, and refining & implementing sales strategies. You will be responsible for both new customer and overall business revenue, and should be excited to dive into the weeds with everyday sales and success tasks as well as strategic leadership initiatives. This leadership role reports directly to the CEO and requires a results-driven, strategic thinker who excels at building and leading high-performing sales teams, executing on growth objectives, and optimizing the customer journey through data-driven insights.   Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure company sales and margin targets are achieved while maintaining high customer retention and utilization.
  • Track and analyze on sales KPIs, providing regular updates on the “so what” of company performance and market trends.
  • Obsess over results and continuously iterate and innovate on GTM strategy & execution to drive the business efficiency.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Product, & Customer Support to optimize the customer journey for acquisition, retention, and expansion by leveraging data-driven insights.
  • Operate with a customer-first mindset.
  • Scale and lead a high-performing, A-player team across Sales & Customer Success that is the best in the industry at efficiently serving customers.

  • Sales Execution:
    • Refine and roll out individual clinic sales motions to ensure team meets quotas; provide structure, guidance, and tactical support
    • Drive sales efficiency and manage scalable sales strategies for direct sales (vet clinics), channel partners (GPOs, buying groups), and enterprise customers (clinic networks).
    • Own the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to closing, ensuring team quotas are met and exceeded.
    • Work with marketing to align on lead generation efforts, ensuring quality leads for the sales team.
    • Develop and maintain key industry relationships. You are the face of the brand.
  • Sales Operations:
    • Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and pipeline management to ensure accuracy and achievement of revenue goals.
    • Manage sales expense budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI on sales initiatives.
    • Collaborate with marketing, product, and other departments to optimize sales collateral, proposals, and presentations.
    • Leverage data and CRM tools to track performance, improve processes, and continuously optimize the sales workflow.
  •  Sales Strategy:
    • Develop and execute sales strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives, including new customer acquisition and expansion into key verticals (vet clinics, channel partners, enterprise accounts).
    • Identify new market opportunities, trends, and customer needs, and adapt sales strategies to capitalize on them.
    • Create and implement customer segmentation strategies to drive tailored sales approaches and maximize revenue potential.
    • Continuously assess market dynamics and competition to refine sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Customer Success Strategy & Execution:
    • Develop a seamless handoff process between sales and customer success teams to ensure a smooth transition and onboarding experience.
    • Ensure that Customer Success teams focus on driving customer adoption, usage, and retention through comprehensive onboarding, training, and support.
    • Work with the Customer Success team to identify opportunities for customer expansion and upsell additional services or features.
  • Sales Leadership:
    • Build and scale a high-performing sales and customer success team, ensuring a strong culture of collaboration, performance, and customer-centricity.
    • Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance management to sales team members to meet both short- and long-term objectives.
    • Establish sales KPIs, track performance, and report regularly to the CEO with insights and recommendations for improvement.
    • Foster an environment of continuous improvement and learning, encouraging the sales team to refine skills and strategies.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in a high visibility, fast-paced B2B SaaS sales leadership role, with at least 3 years successfully managing a quota-driven team.
  • Proven track record of scaling high-performing sales teams and delivering revenue growth in a high-growth SaaS environment.
  • Strong experience managing direct sales, channel sales, and enterprise sales.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex sales cycles, including negotiating and closing large deals.
  • Expertise in sales operations, forecasting, and performance management.
  • Experience with Customer Success strategies and aligning them with revenue growth objectives.
  • Preferably, experience within the veterinary industry or a related field, with an understanding of the unique challenges in the market.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a hands-on, customer-first mentality.

  • Dirty hands: Negotiation and deal-closing expertise, particularly with enterprise customers.
  • Sales Ops: Analytical mindset, with a focus on performance metrics, KPIs, and business outcomes.
  • Post-sale strategy: Deep understanding of customer success practices and aligning them with growth and retention goals.
  • Communication: Strong presentation and skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
Other Information:
  • Location: Remote (bonus points for living in the Des Moines, IA or Denver, CO metro areas)
  • Compensation: $150,000 - $170,000 base salary, with OTE of $200,000-230,000 based on experience and performance.
