Position Overview

The Director of Technical Enablement Strategy will lead the creation, development, and implementation of comprehensive training programs and enablement initiatives targeted at technical audiences, including Pre-sales/Sales Engineers, Customer Success Managers, and Professional Services teams. This strategic role will ensure alignment between technical training programs and business objectives, directly impacting customer outcomes, employee effectiveness, and organizational success.

What your day will look like:

  • Design and implement strategic enablement frameworks for technical roles, proactively addressing current skill gaps and forecasting future competency needs.
  • Collaborate with Theatre Enablement Leads to identify regional and global training gaps, gather requirements, and refine curriculum to address identified needs.
  • Support theatre leads in rolling out new programs and monitoring their effectiveness.
  • Oversee collaboration with product management, technical subject matter experts, product marketing and field leadership to create engaging and accurate technical training content and curriculum tailored to presales engineers, sales engineers, customer success managers, and professional services teams.
  • Define comprehensive onboarding plans, curriculum frameworks, and training resources; drive consistent global execution for new hires across relevant functions.
  • Promote consistent utilization of organizational messaging, marketing collateral, advisory resources, and associated supporting data.
  • Design, deliver, and continually enhance technical training programs and certifications aligned with organizational sales strategies and objectives.
  • Apply a variety of training methodologies, instructional design principles, techniques, and tools to optimize learner engagement and program effectiveness.
  • Develop and execute onboarding programs for technical new hires across relevant functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product Management, Sales Leadership, Marketing, Customer Success, and Professional Services to integrate accurate, up-to-date product knowledge into enablement initiatives.
  • Identify and define challenges and opportunities impacting supported functions; recommend and implement best practices to drive continuous improvement.
  • Actively collaborate with Customer & Partner Technical Enablement Leads to ensure alignment and effective leverage of internal content for external curricula and programs.
  • Develop clear success metrics for enablement initiatives; consistently measure effectiveness, monitor outcomes, and refine strategies to enhance adoption and effectiveness.
  • Track and analyze training effectiveness, learner proficiency, and adoption of training materials and certifications across technical roles.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Presales experience essential
  • 5+ years of experience in technical training, enablement, or learning and development, specifically targeting technical roles (Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Professional Services).
  • Proven experience designing and executing impactful technical enablement strategies.
  • Strong familiarity with technical training methodologies, learning management systems (LMS), and content development tools.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills tailored to technical and executive-level audiences.

US Pay Range$166,345—$292,100 USD
