The DIRECTV Ad Sales team is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Director of Ad Sales for our Out of Home (OOH) division, focusing on DIRECTV Remote customers across the entire United States. This key leadership role will be responsible for driving revenue generation, managing client relationships, and developing forward-thinking sales strategies. The ideal candidate will have strong OOH agency contacts, extensive knowledge of the advertising space, and a proven track record of achieving revenue quotas. This position plays a crucial role in expanding our market presence and ensuring the success of our OOH advertising initiatives.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Oversee the achievement of revenue quotas for DIRECTV Remote customers across the United States.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with OOH agencies and key clients.
- Prepare and present comprehensive sales proposals to potential and existing clients.
- Participate in client meetings to understand their objectives and tailor advertising solutions.
- Drive revenue generation through lead qualification and proactive prospecting.
- Oversee the execution of advertising campaigns, ensuring alignment with customer objectives and expectations.
- Manage the entire sales process from initial contact to close for high-value accounts.
- Develop forward-thinking sales strategies in collaboration with leadership to stay ahead of market trends.
- Analyze market data and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless campaign delivery and client satisfaction.
- Monitor campaign performance and provide regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide junior sales team members, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in OOH advertising.
- Contribute to the development of sales collateral and marketing materials to support the sales process.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences to build brand awareness and generate new leads.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred; MBA a plus.
- 5 - 7 years of experience in advertising sales, with a focus on OOH and a proven track record of success.
- Extensive network of contacts within OOH agencies and relevant client industries.
- Strong understanding of the DIRECTV Remote platform and its advertising capabilities.
- Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed revenue quotas.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex advertising solutions to senior executives.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close high-value deals.
