What You’ll Be Responsible For: 

Circle is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our Global Capital Markets team. In this role, you will identify, negotiate, and close complex deals in a competitive landscape while fostering strategic partnerships. You will leverage your deep understanding of financial services and digital assets to drive the adoption of Circle’s products and build meaningful relationships with key stakeholders.

What You’ll Work On:

  • Identify and evaluate potential capital markets and trading partners to drive distribution and utilization of Circle products.

  • Lead negotiations and structure deals with strategic partners to enhance product adoption and market presence.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, financial institutions, and industry participants.

  • Develop financial models and forecast projections to assess potential partnerships and their impact.

  • Provide market intelligence and strategic feedback to Circle's leadership team to inform product and business strategy.

  • Develop partnership strategies focused on driving adoption of Circle’s existing products and identifying opportunities for beta product validation.

  • Collaborate with product teams to validate market assumptions, build go-to-market plans, and establish partnerships with leading ecosystem businesses.

What You’ll Bring to Circle:

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in business development, investment banking, or sales & trading.

  • Strong understanding of capital markets exchanges, trading firms, and exchange venues, with a track record of driving effective deals to enhance Circle product utilization.

  • Experience working on trading floors and knowledge of market structures, particularly in FICC, FX, or crypto markets.

  • Familiarity with fintech and cryptocurrency industries, including key players, products, and trends.

  • Cross-cultural competence and ability to work effectively across geographies.

  • Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and negotiating successful partnerships.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Business-level proficiency in English; Mandarin language skills are a plus.

  • FINRA Series 7, 63, or other regional securities licensing is a strong plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and present prospective deals effectively.

  • Self-driven, with strong project management skills and ability to work independently.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting potential partnership opportunities.

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and execute a business development plan.

  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, compliance, and legal teams, to ensure successful execution of business development initiatives.

Starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to: relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.

Base Pay Range:

$145,000 - $192,500
