As the Vice President of Healthcare Sales at SoundHound AI, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and growing our presence within the healthcare industry. You will build and develop a high-performing sales organization, driving revenue growth and market penetration and expanding SoundHound’s footprint across healthcare use cases such as patient engagement, virtual care, and operational efficiencies.

This senior leadership position will be fully accountable for all healthcare-related sales and revenue execution at SoundHound. Collaborating closely with the executive team, you will help define the strategy for market expansion and ensure SoundHound remains a leader in conversational AI for healthcare.

With a growing team of sales professionals and dotted-line cross-functional oversight, including Pre-Sales, Customer Success, and Delivery, this role will require you to be both a strategic leader and a hands-on contributor. You will balance high-level strategic planning with the tactical execution needed to close deals, foster partnerships, and drive organizational success. This position reports directly to the SVP of Sales and is a key member of SoundHound’s leadership team.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the healthcare sales and customer success teams, ensuring they exceed revenue targets.
  • Act as a hands-on leader in high-stakes deals, directly driving revenue growth with key healthcare accounts.
  • Deliver compelling presentations to healthcare executives, showcasing SoundHound’s value across patient and operational use cases.
  • Spearhead a "land and expand" strategy, increasing SoundHound’s footprint within value-based care (VBC), payviders, and digital health innovators.
  • Collaborate with the Product team to refine go-to-market strategies, ensuring alignment with healthcare market needs and trends.
  • Build a results-oriented team by setting clear performance metrics, fostering accountability, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Guide teams in transitioning from reactive to proactive sales strategies, using data and analytics to enhance decision-making.
  • Partner with the Customer Success team to design and execute account planning and expansion strategies that improve customer lifetime value.
  • Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to align messaging, pricing strategies, and business models with revenue objectives.
  • Leverage deep industry knowledge and analytics to identify opportunities for market expansion and competitive positioning.
  • Stay ahead of market trends, customer behaviors, and healthcare technology dynamics to shape SoundHound’s long-term growth strategy.

We would love to hear from you if:

  • You have 15+ years of proven leadership in B2B Healthcare SaaS sales.
  • You have 5+ years of managing high-performing sales teams, ideally in an early-stage, high-growth environment.
  • You bring a deep understanding of value-based care models, healthcare provider strategies, and market forces shaping the industry.
  • You have demonstrated an ability to sell complex B2B software solutions to healthcare executives, including CSOs, COOs, CIOs, and CEOs.
  • You have strong consultative selling skills, with a history of exceeding sales targets and driving market growth.
  • You have progressive experience in enterprise software sales and go-to-market leadership.
  • You have a proven ability to motivate and develop high-performance teams while managing both strategy and tactical execution.
  • You have an established network within the healthcare industry, including relationships with health systems, providers, and digital health innovators.
  • You have experience leveraging customer insights and market data to drive revenue strategies.
  • You possess a strong knowledge of Contact Center tools and processes, including CCaaS platforms like Genesys, Five9, NICE, etc.
  • You have experience with analytic solutions that impact operational business processes, preferably experience with autonomic and cognitive solutions (though not required).

This role is available throughout the United States. This is a remote-based role. Please note that we DO NOT offer employment in the following states: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Iowa, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Employees within a 60-mile radius of our Santa Clara, CA office are expected to work from the office on three pre-scheduled, company-wide “core days” each month to encourage cross-team connection and in-person collaboration. The salary range for this position is $225,000-$240,000 plus variable pay and equity. In addition to salary, variable pay, and equity, you will receive comprehensive healthcare, paid time off, and other benefits. Our recruiting team will provide a specific salary range based on location and years of experience.
