Workday Adaptive Senior Principal Consultant (Continuous Value Services)

The Cognizant Workday Continuous Value Services practice is looking for an experienced Adaptive Planning Senior Consultant to provide post production support for clients live on Adaptive Planning. The Adaptive Planning Senior Principal Consultant will guide multiple clients through a combination of ticket-based support, small projects, release management, tenant analyses, and staff augmentations.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with clients to understand their current Adaptive Planning configuration and take a consultative approach to resolve break fixes, enhancements, training, and road map discussions of clients live on Adaptive Planning.
  • Leverage your expertise to recommend the best solution based on the client’s requirements, budget, and time frame; with the flexibility to adapt the scope as additional needs are identified.
  • Guide the customer through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and an understanding of the customer’s unique business requirements for enhancements to Adaptive Planning.
  • Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping the client, your project team and your Engagement Manager updated of changes or progress related to the project.
  • Act as a mentor to fellow consultants and analysts, including providing support for shadow assignments.
  • Assist with sales activities by attending sales calls as an Adaptive Planning subject matter expert.
  • Proven ability to review Statements of Work (SOWs) to assure proper scoping, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Actively participate in update training and internal opportunities to share one’s skills and learnings with others within the organization.
  • Maintain cutting-edge knowledge of product functionality with each new Workday release.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Adaptive Planning Platform Certification preferred.
  • Experience configuring Workday Adaptive Planning Foundational Elements and Sheets
  • Experience with Adaptive Modeling and Formula Building
  • Detailed understanding of Adaptive Planning processes and best practices
  • 5+ years experience implementing enterprise management solutions
  • 5+ years experience gathering requirements, designing, prototyping, testing, and deploying solutions to meet client requirements.
  • Experience delivering training materials and sessions to promote end-user adoption
  • Experience with Adaptive Integrations and Workday Power of One.
  • Adaptive Reporting Experience (Dashboards, Matrix, OfficeConnect)
  • Understands cross functional impacts with Workday
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track-record of client success with an ability to plan, monitor and report project plans with experience managing budget, scope, and timelines. 
  • Ability to create and sustain a relationship with clients, inspiring confidence in themselves and the delivery team while driving to reference-ability.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively manage client expectations.
  • Minimal travel required, but must be willing to travel on-site if needed

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until 07/9/2025 The annual salary for this position is between $129,632 - $180,237 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program , based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
