The Opportunity
The Vice President of Strategic Growth is a dynamic, growth-minded leader responsible for driving transformational growth and new opportunities across the organization and for Ulteig’s clients. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer and serving on the Ulteig Leadership Team (ULT), this executive spearheads the development and implementation of the strategic plan, oversees the strategy and transformation offices, and fosters innovation, change management, and growth streams through strategic partnerships, consultative services, and product management. This role works collaboratively across all Business Units and Ulteig’s Lifeline Sectors of Power, Renewables, Transportation and Water – the infrastructure critical to everyday life. The VP of Strategic Growth analyzes Lifeline Sector market outlooks and trends to define and execute the company's strategic direction, including growth strategies for new products and services. This role is pivotal in extending client value through strategic solutions, particularly in the Lifeline Sectors of Power, Renewables, Transportation, and Water.
What you’ll do
- Develop and implement the 3-year strategic plan, heading annual calibration exercises and providing regular updates to leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Establish and manage a transformation office, aligning initiatives with strategy, prioritizing efforts, and directing governance and risk management.
- Lead change management across the enterprise, fostering cross-functional collaboration and managing communications.
- Govern innovation and ideation across all business areas, prioritizing initiatives for maximum return on investment.
- Leverage intelligence, policy insights, and emerging market recommendations to inform strategic direction.
- Conduct ROI analyses and prioritize strategic and transformation initiatives enterprise wide.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive commercialization strategy aligned with the company's strategic plan and business objectives.
- Create, implement, and sell growth mechanisms (products, consulting, partnerships, new services) aligned with corporate strategy.
- In partnership with Marketing, build and manage a commercialization function to support the successful launch, sale, and support of new products and services.
- Collaborate closely with Lifeline Sector, Digital Transformation, and Marketing Leadership to identify client needs and ensure solutions align with objectives.
- Partner with Corporate Development to inform merger and acquisition activities from a strategic perspective.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with strategic initiatives, engaging with project management as needed.
- Build and lead a high-performing team through effective hiring, management, and talent development.
- Act as a thought leader by building and maintaining external relationships and staying informed about evolving opportunities and risks within and adjacent to the AEC space.
- Serve as a vocal advocate for market-led decisions and adapting the business for continued growth and expansion into diversified solutions.
- Lead the development and incorporation of innovation in new products, consulting services, and emerging technologies.
- Participate in the Ulteig Leadership Team, collaborating on cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Partner with sales operations and proposals teams to develop pricing strategies, sales approaches, and annual sales goals for diversified services.
- Provide both strategic and tactical leadership for the Strategic Plan, ensuring integration and broad communication of growth initiatives across the organization.

What We Expect from You
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Management, or other Business-related field required, MBA preferred
- Requires 15+ years of experience in sales enablement, consultative sales, product and service development, innovation, business development, and/or engineering.
- Client facing experience with Managed Services; Consulting experience a plus.
- Ability to travel up to 30%
- Ability to motivate teams to produce results within tight timeframes
- Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.

Additional Opportunity Details:
Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $205,000 - $275,000
