Winston Benefits, a Brown & Brown company, is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to join our team! The role of the Vice President of Business Development is responsible for developing new business by analyzing account potential; initiating, developing, and closing sales; and recommending new applications and sales strategies.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Travel Required - Minimum 10 days / month
Business Development
- Initiates sales process by building relationships; qualifying potential; scheduling appointments.
- Develops sales by making initial presentation; explaining product and service enhancements and additions; introducing new products and services.
- Develops new applications by preparing specifications, conferring with IT.
- Closes sales by overcoming objections; preparing contracts.
- Contributes information to sales strategies by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled; monitoring competitive products; analyzing and relaying customer reactions.
Sales
- Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry, researching and analyzing sales options.
- Sells products/services by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects, recommending solutions.
- Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.
- Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Proven record in industry sales.
- 4 years minimum years of sales experience.

- Pay Range: $85,000 - $125000 The pay range provided is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
