Job Description Summary

In collaboration with the AMS PMO Leader, the Senior PMO Leader manages the program and project management team members who support AMS account programs and projects or internal ISB initiatives.  Key responsibilities include providing resource care, monitoring and proactively addressing capacity, managing new demand requests and assignments, and providing coaching and mentoring to deliver controlled programs and projects in alignment with agreed scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.

Essential Job Functions

The successful candidate will manage the program and project management team within the AMS PMO with the following skills, requirements and qualifications:

  • 8-10 years leading program and project management resources
  • Must have strong, proven people manager skills
  • 8-10 years leading global transformation programs and projects
  • Must have previous insurance experience
  • Previous track record collaborating with internal resources including delivery and external clients and third party vendors
  • Provide all aspects of resource care, including on-going support, learning plans, career growth opportunities, etc.
  • Actively monitor and manage capacity in response to forecasted demands
  • Review and respond to new requests for program/project support
  • Manage resource allocation, aligning assignments according to resource skill and experience
  • Coach and mentor team in program/project standards, navigating the political environment, preparing and delivering executive level statuses, and ensuring consistent program/project controls
  • Engage with region leaders and initiative stakeholders when necessary to help resolve complex program/project risks or issues
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of project management standards and methodologies.
  • Provide program and project inputs to support on-going AMS PMO executive reporting.
  • Partner with the AMS PMO Leader and AMS Process Enablement Leader to establish and ensure the success of PMO operational processes and tools.
  • Champion continuous improvement related to AMS program and project support.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Typically, 10+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 8+ years in a similar team leadership role
  • 8 or more years of program management experience
  • 12 or more years of project management experience
  • Experience working with project management methodology such as Catalyst, PMBOK including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies including earned value management, project management software and finance and accounting concepts and practices.
  • Experience working with quality management approaches and techniques.
  • Experience working with delivery assurance policies, procedures, and principles to ensure compliance.
  • Experience working with productivity and methodology tools that increase project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Experience working with administrative processes.
  • Experience working with client vision, business objectives, and critical success factors
  • Experience working with delivery assurance principles and appropriate procedures relevant to area.
  • Experience working with techniques and approaches related to the architecture, development, integration, and deployment of project phases.
  • 5-10 years engineering projects for transformation to a cloud-based infrastructure
  • 5-10 years of technology implementations
  • Project Management Certification (PMP) preferred.

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $114,200 - $212,000.
