As a Senior Business Operations Manager, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team that values expertise, leadership, and innovation in compensation management.

About the role

This role will manage overall compensation strategies and policies within the Rentals organization. They will be responsible for improving outcomes, scalability, and the evolution of incentive programs. This role requires close partnership with Sales Leadership, Sales Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Product, and Data Science teams, while primarily reporting to and supporting Sales as the main stakeholder.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Compensation Planning and Analysis: Drive major compensation plan updates and compensation eligibility (business rules) to support business strategy, including requirements gathering, options modeling, drafting plan verbiage, and facilitating implementation. Ongoing support of compensation policy strategy, which includes recurring analyses and monitoring of trends, supporting investigations around potential policy changes, and collaborating with stakeholders on compensation/policy impacts of various company initiatives.
  • Sales Compensation Data and Systems: Owner of all compensation-related data, which includes management of ongoing compensation processes, data integrations, audits, and SOX controls. This also includes partnering with internal dev teams in identifying data integrity issues, resolving bugs, and influencing enhancement/bug prioritization.
  • Sales Attainment Reporting: Builder and owner of attainment related insights reporting in Tableau including ongoing new hire ramping analysis.
  • Project Management: Lead strategic cross-functional projects end-to-end that can span 2 weeks to multiple quarters. The scope of projects can include crafting sales compensation policies to support compensation plan changes, developing new sales compensation processes to set quotas, designing and operationalizing new compensation plans, and leading workstreams to update business line rules and policies.
  • Team Leadership: Support and guide a team of analysts, fostering their professional growth and ensuring their work aligns with organizational goals. Encourage a collaborative and innovative team environment and facilitate ongoing mentorship. Assist leadership in creating a collaborative and innovative team environment, facilitating mentorship and performance evaluations as needed

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $105,900.00 - $169,100.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

Candidates who meet most of the criteria below are strongly encouraged to apply:

  • Proven experience in Business Operations, Sales Operations, Sales Finance, Management Consulting, or a comparable field for 8+ years
  • An analytical problem solver comfortable taking on ambiguous, complex opportunities and driving the analysis
  • Strong financial modeling skills, including proficiency in Excel, with ability to blend quantitative and qualitative data to make people-related decisions
  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, Salesforce, and other Business Intelligence and Data Visualization tools is strongly desired
  • Exceptional attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to anticipate downstream challenges.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with ability to use data to tell a compelling story.
  • Intellectual curiosity, with a strong desire to learn and test new ideas and processes.
