About your new role:
As a Sales Engineer at Command|Link, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by acting as the technical backbone of our sales engagements. You’ll work closely with mid-market and enterprise clients, channel partners, and internal teams to craft, present, and implement cutting-edge network solutions in SD-WAN, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), and MDR/NDR security services.
Your expertise in both technology and sales will empower you to bridge the gap between customer needs and our innovative solutions. In this highly visible role, you’ll guide prospects through the sales cycle by delivering impactful demonstrations, conducting technical discovery, and leading solution design conversations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Sales Teams: Collaborate with Channel Sales Executives and Channel Directors to align sales strategies, manage opportunities, and close deals.
- Pre-Sales Leadership: Own the technical aspects of the sales process, from initial engagement through to solution design and proposal delivery.
- Solution Development: Leverage your hands-on experience with Fortinet, Versa Networks, and Cato Networks to design secure, scalable network solutions that meet client objectives.
- Customer Engagement: Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer requirements, pain points, and opportunities, positioning Command|Link’s SD-WAN and security offerings as optimal solutions.
- Compelling Presentations & Demos: Deliver clear, high-impact demonstrations and presentations to technical and business stakeholders, ensuring the value proposition of Command|Link’s solutions is well understood.
- Collaborative Selling: Work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to refine solutions, stay ahead of market trends, and ensure seamless handoff to implementation teams.
- Sales Enablement: Conduct webinars, workshops, and technical training sessions to enhance partner and customer knowledge of SD-WAN, SASE, and security services.
- Pipeline & Funnel Management: Proactively manage your sales pipeline in collaboration with Channel Directors to maintain a healthy funnel and ensure continuous customer engagement.
What You'll Need for Success:
- Technical Sales Expertise: Proven experience in a pre-sales engineering role, with a focus on SD-WAN, SASE, and network security solutions.
- Networking Knowledge: Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, VPNs, routing protocols, SASE, and cloud-based architectures.
- Consultative Sales Approach: Ability to understand complex customer environments and recommend tailored solutions that address both technical and business needs.
- Presentation Skills: Dynamic communication skills, with the ability to deliver persuasive presentations and demos to both technical and executive audiences.
- Relationship Building: A proven track record of establishing trust with channel partners, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Proactive Pipeline Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple engagements and ensure timely follow-up throughout the sales cycle.
- Self-Driven & Collaborative: Highly motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
- Continuous Learning: Passion for staying up to date with the latest trends in networking, SD-WAN, SASE, and security technologies.

Commandlink hires individuals in a number of geographic regions and the pay ranges listed reflect the cost of labor across these regions. The base pay for this position as displayed at the bottom of the job description is a range based on our lowest geographic region, up to our highest geographic region. Pay is based on location among other factors, such as skill-set, experience, and qualifications held.
Compensation includes a competitive base salary plus commission, with an On-Target Earnings (OTE) of $175,000+.
