Sales Development Representative

As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for qualifying leads at the beginning stages of the sales process. You will be responsible identifying the prospect with an introduction call, qualifying opportunity from event or prospect targeted and engagement with the sales representative assigned to the account for the 2nd qualification call. The goal is to move to stage 30 where the sales representative will do a deeper dive for next steps which would be qualification of first demonstration of value of Trintech solution based on prospects identified needs.
What you will do
- Develop sales strategies for assigned territory to target new customers.
- Deep dive on understanding the company, roles in the organization so that we have good information as we start the prospecting to introduce Trintech.
- Connect with key contacts through, email, cold-calling, social media, and review of marketing driven event that the prospect attended.
- Develop relationships with key contacts to identify their potential needs. Key contacts include CFO, Director/VP of Accounting, VP or manager of Financial Controls and Reporting, Controller, CIO, CTO, IT Director, Vice President of IT and IT Project Manager.
- Generate sales pipeline/create new opportunities. From the first engagement to detailed qualification stage at Stage 20 in pipeline. This will include: building relationships based on data research on the prospect, research on opportunities to connect with data points, asking quality discovery questions with the identified prospect to assist in understanding their pain points, questions aligned with allowing prospect to provide valuable information of potential pain, and understand motivation behind potential problems they might have that will drive to solutions offered by Trintech. The expected outcome is to check for understanding their pains so you can engage deeper dive with sales representative with the potential prospect, schedule follow up call so that BDM and engage sales representative for introduction of potential solution from needs gathered.
- Engage with sales representatives to have internal review of potential needs and engagement of next discussion of Trintech solutions tied to their potential need. Assess needs to qualify best Trintech solution.
- Develop connections on Linkedin/SalesNavigator or website to establish connections and engagements with prospects to create new leads and sales openings.
- Qualify and develop leads through the marketing funnel.
- Set highly qualified meetings with key contacts for sales team.
- Gather information about the current business situation, undercover prospect’s business goals, and discover challenges the company is facing and their position/philosophy to solve.
- Consistently communicate Trintech’s value to potential customers through calls, emails, videos, and social media.
- Experience collaborating with sales executives to drive sales strategies prior to call with deeper dive of opportunity of sales rep assigned territory.
- Nurture and research marketing qualified leads, develop leads into sales qualified opportunities, and assist with pipeline creation and contribution.
- Assist Sales Team in qualifying self-generated leads, converting these into sales opportunities.
- Develop high-qualified leads to help build sales pipeline.
- Progress leads through the marketing funnel, connecting them to a salesperson, and arranging in-person meetings, emails, or phone calls.
- Effectively manage key customer data, sales activities, and opportunities in Salesforce/CRM sales tools.
- Share Trintech’s value proposition to potential customers.
- Work as part of the SDRteam to grow pipeline in our top markets.
- Orchestrate and influence internal resource from other functions (i.e., sales, pre-sales, etc.).
- Preparation before calling the prospect; research prior to call, learn something about their business and the person before the meeting, send a quick agenda of “why” the call (could be aligned with marketing piece), have 3 value-added points to discuss in first call, and prepare agenda: What is goal of call? What do I need to find out during the call? What is next step after call? Most importantly, schedule the next call during the first introduction call.
What we need in you
- 1-2 years of experience in a corporate role.
- Accounting or Finance industry background preferred.
- Sales ability to capture the potential prospects by listening, engaging and ability to create interest to move to the detailed sales call with sales representative.
- Effectively use current customers to build the story of value of why Trintech.
- Good time management, analytical skills, and strong business acumen.
- Excellent telephone and video etiquette.
- Promotes a strong sense of urgency for reaching goals and key deliverables.
- Drive, grit, team oriented: a strong desire to compete and win.
- Willingness and resiliency to cold call contacts daily.
- Curious by nature with a competitive spirit/drive.
- Effective listener with a coachable attitude.
- A friendly, likable demeanor and a team-oriented mindset.

The compensation range is specific to the United States and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. A reasonable estimate of the range is $66,500-$86,500 plus applicable bonus. Remote work applicants may not work from the state of California.
