Job Summary

Support State & Local Government sales functions and sales activities within a specified market and geographic responsibility.
Support sales plans, strategies, and objectives to drive sales and gross margin dollar growth activities for state contracts and local Co-ops.

Job Description

Manage and retain existing business through providing superior customer support and executing on sales strategies.

Build and maintain relationships through personal contact with customers in assigned markets.

Grow Medline's state and local government business by presenting new solutions, products, and services to clients.  Work with internal teams (product divisions, sales operations, corporate marketing, and more) to meet customer needs.

Support new sales opportunities while working with sales, product divisions, operations, and management to determine tools and resources needed to execute strategy and achieve goals.

Prospect a list of target customers to develop relationships and generate new business.

Work directly with Medline field sales team to help promote sales goals and initiatives. Train and support field sales team to provide service to large customers and Co-ops.

Negotiate and close business deals to expand Medline’s state and local government business.

Develop and execute on a one-year and three-year business plan that ensures short-term and long-term growth and profitability.

Lead presentations for senior level management within Medline as well as state and local government customers.

Protect and grow market sales by introducing Medline programs.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$73,840.00 - $107,120.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
