Job Description SummaryAs the Managing Director of Care Alliances, you will be the anchor point for collaborative deal teams to create, structure, win, and execute multi-year/multi-modality technology partnerships at scale.

This is a vital role in driving market share and revenue growth for the business and accelerating GE HealthCare’s market presence in the strategic partnership space.

You will lead commercial and structuring activities for long-term technology partnerships, which includes opportunity targeting and prioritization, deal team activation and leadership, value proposition and offering development, innovative commercial approaches and business models. Work as a co-pilot with regional or national account executives to bring all of these to life with internal and external stakeholders.

You will demonstrate expertise in business development, commercial process, leadership and influencing, understanding of customer needs and problem-back solution design, financial strategy, structuring and contracting - to ensure solution differentiation for deals that may span the breadth of the GE HealthCare portfolio (and beyond).

A key strategic initiative for the role will be to lead or influence development and go-to-market for new “enterprise” product offerings to evolve our value proposition.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and coach cross-functional, matrixed deal teams – drive alignment, engagement and accountability across deal team and solution workstream owners.
  • Collaborate with sales teams and regional executives to understand customer needs and strategic priorities, identify Care Alliance opportunities, and drive deal team and solution design.
  • Drive creative value propositions and deal structures that align with customer needs and differentiates GE HealthCare, while optimizing profitability and mitigating risks (e.g. MES, risk-sharing, collaboration and outcome-based models).
  • Develop or implement pursuit management and stakeholder management strategies – in particular identification and development of customer coaches.
  • Guide business modeling to assess the value drivers and economic viability of proposed deals or new commercial approaches (for both GE HealthCare and the customer).
  • Influence customer and internal stakeholders towards most viable and value-oriented solutions - anticipate and overcome obstacles in the solution development process.
  • Drive a structured approach to new go-to-market and “enterprise product” development and commercial activation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10-years experience in at least one key area of healthcare/medtech and with executive-level stakeholders – e.g. commercial, strategy, administration, imaging or operations.
  • Masters' degree, MBA, or other advanced degree in business or related field preferred (or equivalent knowledge and experience).
  • Team leadership or horizontal leadership experience.
  • A history of closing long-term or large and complex commercial agreements.
  • Strategic and clear thinking - experience simplifying strategy into specific actions with clear accountability, making decisions with speed and accuracy, and communicating clearly.
  • Adaptable and responsive to new information and/or to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and creative skills, ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on knowledge of healthcare market dynamics and customer needs.
  • Proven experience in deal structuring, financial modelling/analysis, or business development.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial metrics.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Effective relationship-building, communication, listening and presentation skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to integrate Lean principles within our solution development and standard work within engagement model and commercial process.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $170,544.00-$255,816.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
