About the Distribution Inside Business Development Manager – AMD: 

MarketStar is looking for a Distribution Inside Business Development Manager to support our sales team. The Distribution Inside Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing assigned VAR and partner reseller relationships with creations of opportunity pipeline to closed business of the sales cycle. Other responsibilities including utilization of Microsoft suite tools including but limited to Excel, Partner Portal, and Salesforce instance.  

Coordinate with key stakeholders, enablement trainings, driving opportunity business of assigned VAR & partner resellers overall program performance.

Location: US - Remote 

What Will You Do? 

  • Engage regularly and communicate with longtail partners to maintain engagement and prevent churn, building long-term loyalty  

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing channel partners 

  • Onboard new channel partners and ensure they are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to successfully sell AMD Products and Services 

  • Serve as the main point of contact for partners, addressing their needs and resolving any issues promptly  

  • Regular partner touch points through emails, calls, and digital check-ins 

  • Support and enable partners with the resources and training needed ensuring they understand the product/service well and feel supported via webinars, self-serve resources, or virtual sessions 

  • Act as a liaison to gather feedback from partners on challenges, needs, and product insights  

  • Deliver product and sales trainings to equip partners with product knowledge, sales techniques, and marketing materials to improve their ability to sell effectively 

  • Demand Generation Support: Share or develop campaigns, templates, and content to help partners drive demand in their respective regions by providing AMD co-branded assets, social media content, or email templates 

  • Identify opportunities cross-sell and up-sell as opportunities arise to expand partner’s ecosystem of AMD Products and services  

  • Align with the overall AMD channel strategy, ensuring longtail partners complement larger partner segments 

  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets through longtail channel partner sales 

 

What Will You Need to Succeed? 

  • There or more years Distribution and/or VAR Channel sales experience  

  • College degree in business or a related field preferred  

  • Two or more years’ experience conducting group presentation or trainings 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships with partners 

  • Solid understanding of Distribution and VAR Channel with the ability to learn quickly 

  • Excellent time management and communication skills both oral and written 

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and/or other CRM tools 

  • Coachability with a willingness to learn quickly 

  • Well organized and detail oriented with good time management skills

The salary range for this position is between $75,000.00 and $85,000.00 annually. This pay structure may also include a variable bonus component of $20,000.00 annually. There are several factors to consider including but not limited to, the role’s responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, internal equity, and key skills. Your recruiter will provide more detailed information during the interview process.
