ROLE SUMMARY

The Health System, Urgent Care, and Long-Term Care Channel (HULC) team resides under the US Primary Care Customer and Channel Group Platform team. It seeks to drive coordination and maximize opportunity across the Primary Care (PC) franchise through holistic channel strategy across Health System, Long-Term Care, and Urgent Care channels to meet the needs of our customers and our Primary Care portfolio priorities. The team covers the full Primary Care franchise including - Vaccines, Antiviral & Diagnostics, Migraine, and Internal Medicine. More specifically, this team serves to:

Develop and partner with brands to craft impactful Health System facing content across the Primary Care franchise Generate content to support the Primary Care franchise brands across the Urgent Care and Long-Term Care channels Centralize and oversee Health System, Urgent Care, and Long-Term Care partnerships across Primary Care

The US health system landscape has been and continues to evolve rapidly.  Consolidation and vertical integration among Leading Health Systems highlight the importance of integrated care delivery and population health in a progressively challenging market.  As a result, Leading Health Systems are increasingly seeking greater coordination and innovative approaches – which is what presents such an exciting opportunity for this candidate.  The Health System Portfolio Director will report directly to the IDN, UC, & LTC Channel Strategy Lead. The Director will be responsible for developing and driving MG/IDN & Institution strategy with a focus on the Primary Care portfolio.  The candidate will closely collaborate with cross-functional partners from across the US Primary Care business and at varying levels of leadership, including the following therapeutic areas: Migraine, Antiviral & Diagnostics, Internal Medicine, and Vaccines.  In addition, the Director will be working closely with brand members on specific strategies and initiatives. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the strategy, development, and execution of Primary Care Portfolio Health System content:

  • Lead the development of Primary Care portfolio strategies and marketing initiatives for health system customers
  • Exhibit a high performance, values driven approach to develop strategies, identify opportunities and manage key issues to achieve business objectives
  • Collaborate and align with marketing team counterparts across Primary Care and cross-functional team to ensure plans work in synergy to deliver business objectives
  • Lead the delivery and execution of content, including any necessary training the Key Account Management organization
  • Manage efforts with the agency of record, ensuring adherence to the scope of work, timelines and budget

Drive coordination and maximize Health System marketing collective advantage, across the Primary Care franchise

  • Lead the Health System Community of Practice group, comprised of Primary Care Health System marketing leads to share insights, learnings, and challenges.  Generate meeting strategy, content, and facilitate productive discussions.
  • Track Health System partnerships across Primary Care (e.g. projects with Associations and Societies)
  • Identify new areas of opportunity and efficiency across the Primary Care Health System channel

Lead and contribute to Health System channel insight generation

  • Serve as the primary liaison for team’s Leadership Advisory Panel (LAP) and Health Information Technology Advisor Panel opportunities – collaborate with cross functional partners (e.g. Advanced Customer Engagement team and Health System marketing leads) to leverage LAPs to generate key insights for Primary Care brands and the portfolio
  • Support Health System specific strategy and insight projects originating from cross-functional partners and requiring input/partnership from the HULC team
  • Forge close connections with the Key Account Management and Vaccine Account Management organizations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS/BA Degree Required; MBA Preferred
  • 10 years of experience, Account Management, provider, managed care, or strategic consulting preferred
  • Pharmaceutical marketing experience
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills
  • Demonstrated success in influence/negotiation; able to build and maintain productive/ collaborative relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong familiarity with the US Health System market landscape
  • Ability to navigate internal organization/processes
  • Ability to engage and influence cross-functional team members, even without direct reporting relationships
  • Experience successfully converting market and stakeholder insights/needs into actionable strategies and tactics
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including to internal and external senior leaders
  • Strong strategic skills including creativity and effectiveness in identifying and managing major strategic challenges; can manage through ambiguity
  • Strong business acumen and demonstrated flexibility
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and navigate within a complex organizational matrix achieving results through others across functions, geographies and a variety of personality styles
  • Ability and eagerness to challenge status quo, act decisively and operate successfully in an empowered organization

  • Marketing experience and business knowledge of some/all of the therapeutic areas comprising Primary Care franchise

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $161,600.00 to $269,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
