About the role

The Regional Sales, Flat Glass role is responsible for the development and execution of a strategy to find and capitalize on growth opportunities within their assigned customer bases. The goal of this role is to increase sales of Flat Glass products through both new and existing customers. This role is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and converting new business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and forging strong relationships with key stakeholders.

 

What you'll do

  • Perform field activities focused on business development and sales
  • Leverage expertise in Flat Glass products to engage in in-person presentations with dealers and customers to generate leads and close sales.
  • Conduct productive sales calls, and/or prospect new business opportunities within assigned geography targeting Flat Glass related products
  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities while maintaining and or growing existing customer base targeting Flat Glass related products
  • Successfully execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with company goals
  • Generate new leads through networking, cold calling, attending industry events, and utilizing effective prospecting techniques
  • Nurture leads through the sales funnel, building strong relationships and understanding their needs
  • Develop compelling sales presentations and proposals that showcase the value of our products/services
  • Meet or exceed both revenue and gross profit objectives, while maintaining competitive pricing in the marketplace
  • Represent Company in regional/national trade shows as required to further enhance its image and develop additional business.
  • Analyze sales data on an on-going basis to quickly identify trends, insights, and opportunities.
  • Research product and application information using available resources and tools
  • Manage and own the resolution of customer related questions, opportunities, and inquiries
  • Utilize salesforce and other CRM tools for effective management of assigned responsibilities and targets
  • Develop and maintain existing stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and high volume Flat Glass vendor partners.
  • Negotiate and close deals with clients, ensuring win-win outcomes.
  • Manage and grow existing client relationships and identify opportunities for upsell and cross-selling
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target markets
  • Collaborate across departments including Sales, Marketing, and Training and with assigned Outside Sales Reps to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 5+ years relevant sales experience
  • Candidates must be based in Southern California
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM tools
  • Ability for overnight travel where needed
  • History of successful attainment of sales goals and winning new business
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong presentation and negotiation skill
  • Strong relationship builder
  • Experience in networking and cold calling/prospecting.
  • Strong sense of urgency and proven track record to drive results.
  • Strong organization skills to multi-task demanding priorities; effective use of resources to deliver customer results
  • Strong working knowledge of current and changing company products and service offerings; ability to maintain industry/competitor knowledge
  • Ability to travel by car or flight as needed up to 60%
  • A valid driver’s license and state minimum auto insurance

Work at home requirements:

  • Quiet and professional workplace free from noise (kids, pets, etc.)
  • High speed internet access, wired to employee's residence, with minimum speed of 50 mbps
  • A chair and flat surface or desk to work from
