Our team’s purview spans all things revenue — operations, new logos, account management, and sales development — as well as enablement, programs, sales engineering, and value engineering. About the RoleClari is hiring a Director, Sales Engineering to help expand our customer base and grow new revenue. Your day-to-day will focus on helping large, complex organizations drive greater revenue predictability across their global customer-facing, revenue teams. This is a fully remote opportunity and can be worked from any location in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of high-performing Sales Engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovative
- Collaborative closely with the Sales Leadership team to develop and execute sales strategies that leverage Clari’s unique value proposition in the market
- Act as a key technical advisor and advocate for the Sales team, providing deep technical expertise to support complex sales cycles and ensure customer success
- Develop and refine the technical sales process, including the creation of sales enablement materials, demo environments, and solution architectures that resonate with Clari’s target audience
- Engage directly with key customers, serving as a trusted advisor to understand their business challenges and recommend tailored solutions using Clari’s platform
- Work closely with the Customer Success and Support teams to ensure seamless post-sales support and long-term customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to provide market feedback and influence the product roadmap, ensuring that Clari’s offerings continue to meet customer needs and stay ahead of industry trends
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in Revenue Operations, AI/ML technologies, and competitive offerings, ensuring the Sales Engineering team is well-equipped to address emerging trends
- Establish clear goals and performance metrics for the Sales Engineering team, ensuring alignment with overall sales and company objectives
- Partner with the HR team to recruit, onboard, and retain top talent, ensuring the team has the skills and expertise required to meet evolving business needs
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Sales Engineering or related technical sales roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position
- Proven track record of leading Sales Engineering teams within the SaaS industry, preferably in the Revenue Operations, Sales Forecasting, or AI/ML domains
- Experience with scaling Sales Engineering functions in high-growth, enterprise-focused environments
- Deep understanding of Revenue Operations, Sales Forecasting, CRM systems, and how AI/ML technologies can enhance sales process
- Proficient in tools such as Salesforce, Clari, and other sales enablement and revenue intelligence platforms
- Ability to translate complex AI-driven solutions into clear, value-driven narratives for sales teams and customers
- Extensive knowledge of the complex sales process, including pipeline management, deal strategy, and revenue forecasting
- Experience in collaborating closely with sales leadership to drive alignment between Sales Engineering and overall sales objectives
- Proven ability to inspire, lead, and develop a high-performing Sales Engineering team in a fast-paced, innovative environment
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, serving as a trusted advisor and technical expert

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to specific work location, skill set, depth of experience, education and certifications
The total target cash range for this position is $199,000 to $299,000. Total target cash includes base salary and a target incentive. The total direct compensation package for this position may include stock options, benefits, stipends, perks and/or other applicable incentives..
