Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit that knows how to execute a complex sale cycles? The Director, Regional Account Management - Technology, is a senior individual contributor sales role focused on driving new business. The primary responsibility is to develop and expand DP World's service offering within the technology industry by selling contract logistics, freight forwarding, and value-added services. This position is given a high degree of autonomy to manage the solution sales process and is supported extensively by the organization. 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Understand DP World’s broad supply chain service offering and unique selling points 
  • Develop trusted relationships at target customers in the technology sector 
  • Work to get DP World qualified for bids from target companies by understanding their buying process, key decision-makers, and pain points/requirements 
  • Develop a robust pipeline of opportunities 
  • Take ownership for bids/quotes and ensure all internal processes are followed to produce professional responses 
  • Coordinate and manage all internal stakeholders through the bid process 
  • Actively lead customer negotiations, with the objective to closing win-win deals 
  • Help to develop the DP World brand at tradeshows and events 
  • Leverage your past relationships and knowledge in the Technology industry to open doors and close business 
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the logistics issues and challenges experienced by companies in the technology industry 
  • Have a positive growth mindset, looking to continuously learning and improve 

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS  

  • 8+ years of relevant experience 
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics & Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or other related fields 
  • Relevant work experience with a proven track record in a similar role: selling supply chain solutions (contract logistics, freight forwarding, distribution) to the technology industry
  • Specific knowledge and experience working in the Americas Technology Market
  • Able to cope with time pressure and dynamic surroundings
