Director of Partnership Programs

About the Role: The Director of Partnerships will be responsible for developing, managing, and expanding our channel strategy and programs, focusing on driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships with reseller partners. This role requires a deep understanding of Retail Technology, as well as a strong background in leading alliances. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and skilled communicator, with the ability to drive sales through third-party partnerships. They will work collaboratively with cross functional internal and external teams to work with partners. Partners include Retail Tech, Customer Experience, Audio/Visual, POS, Fixture, IT, and Design & Build firms.

You will:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and new resell partners
- Collaborate with partners to drive joint sales initiatives and ensure partners are equipped to sell our solutions effectively.
- Provide training, tools, and resources to ensure partners are knowledgeable about our products and can effectively position and sell to their customers.
- Support partners with sales collateral, product demonstrations, and customized solutions.
- Drive revenue through the identification, negotiation, and closing of new business opportunities with resellers, and other strategic channel partners.
- Set promotional targets and quotas for the partner network.
- Identify new reseller opportunities, including untapped geographies, industry verticals, and customer segments, and work to expand our footprint in these areas.
- Conduct market analysis to identify potential partners and assess their fit within our reseller strategy.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and track performance metrics for the partner network.
Provide regular reports on partner pipeline, revenue, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior leadership. - Work closely with marketing, product management, advertising and customer success teams to align on partner needs, ensure smooth partner onboarding, and drive joint marketing campaigns.
- Gather and communicate partner feedback to help shape product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies.
- Preparation for internal and external channel conflicts and a clear conflict resolution playbook.
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in channel sales or partner/alliance management, preferably within the Point of Sale Software, Retail Audio and Visual, or other Retail Technology
- Track record of success in devising channel strategies, implementing partner programs, resellers, and driving revenue.
- Experience in building and scaling partner programs.
- Strong understanding of advertising automation platforms, digital media, and retail technologies.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to assess partner potential and prioritize opportunities.
- Analytical mindset with experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to track and manage sales activities.
- Prior management experience

Compensation:
Rockbot takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location in the U.S. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
The compensation band for this role is $150,000 to $200,000 (+ commission), as well as equity, and benefits for all team members.
