Mutual of Omaha is seeking an experienced director to drive impactful marketing strategies and foster strong brokerage distribution relationships and sales results. In this role, you will develop, negotiate, and implement marketing initiatives and action plans that directly influence business growth. You will play a key role in enhancing brokerage distribution by overseeing digital strategies across product lines, ensuring alignment with sales goals and profitability targets.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Base Salary: Minimum: $110,000 with variable, and multiplier.
  • Benefits and Perks, 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
  • Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
  • Regular associates receive 11 paid holidays in 2024, which includes 2 floating holidays that are added to your prorated personal time to be used at your discretion.
  • Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 40 hours of personal time in 2024, which is prorated based on the start date.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Achieves annual sales goals through strategic management and growth of relationships with key Digital Marketing partners, Non-Traditional brokerage distribution agencies, and technology organizations to drive division sales, growth, and profitability as well as work with Financial Institutions to secure Mutual of Omaha selling agreements and work with FI distribution to enable them to sell Mutual of Omaha products.
  • Builds and maintains strong internal relationships, promoting positive interactions and resolving any challenges across home office divisions and distribution channels.
  • Develops, negotiates, implements, and documents marketing action plans and sales strategies, actively monitoring and adjusting to achieve business results and ensure sales objectives are met.
  • Directs training activities, product sales seminars, and marketing/service efforts within the aforementioned market hierarchy to align with organizational goals and partner commitments.
  • Manages travel and entertainment budgets and defines travel objectives that align with clients’ business plans, supporting strategic partner relationships at local, regional, and national levels.
  • Collaborates with internal divisions (e.g., Actuarial, IT, Legal) to ensure effective delivery of distribution agreements, drives technology partnership strategy, and addresses industry shifts to shape future strategies.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Proven Sales Success: Demonstrated achievements in sales within the life, health, and annuity insurance industry, with deep expertise in Digital Markets, Non-Traditional brokerage distribution channels (InsurTech companies) as well as success within Financial Institutions at senior levels to enable faster implementation of Mutual selling agreements.
  • Industry Experience: 5+ years in sales and client servicing in the financial sector, complemented by relevant insurance industry designations (preferred).
  • Leadership and Team Management: Strong ability to manage teams effectively, with skills in fostering development and guiding team compliance in a fair, equitable manner.
  • Strategic and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional negotiation, persuasion, presentation, and training capabilities, with a talent for translating information into actionable plans.
  • Flexibility for Travel: Willingness to travel up to 40% to meet business and client engagement needs.

  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.
