The Seventh Generation brand leads our portfolio of eco-friendly household products, driven by innovation and social responsibility. We are looking for a passionate and results-driven Customer Business Manager (CBM) to drive growth within the Grocery class of trade.
JOB PURPOSE
As the Customer Business Manager for Seventh Generation within the Grocery channel, you will develop and execute strategic business plans, focusing on maximizing sales and distribution across grocery retail accounts. You will be the primary liaison between Unilever and grocery partners, leveraging insights to optimize product positioning and promotional activities. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while driving key customer relationships and business results.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
- Account Management: Develop and nurture strong relationships with key grocery retail partners to drive brand growth and customer satisfaction.
- Strategic Planning: Create tailored business plans to achieve sales, distribution, and profitability targets within the Grocery class of trade.
- Data-Driven Insights: Analyze market data, sales performance, and consumer trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimization within the grocery channel.
- Joint Business Planning: Collaborate with grocery customers on joint business plans, focusing on assortment, promotions, and in-store execution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (marketing, supply chain, category management) to ensure alignment and successful execution of customer strategies.
- Category Management: Leverage data and insights to support category growth, including shelf optimization, promotional planning, and pricing strategies.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze sales performance against key metrics, preparing reports and recommendations for leadership.
- Sustainability Integration: Ensure that Seventh Generation’s sustainability goals are integrated into customer strategies and retail execution.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in customer business management or account management within the CPG industry, specifically within the Grocery class of trade.
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with grocery retail customers.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
- Proven ability to develop and execute joint business plans and achieve sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with retail data tools (e.g., Nielsen, IRI).
- Passion for sustainability and environmental responsibility, aligning with the Seventh Generation brand ethos.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative, and fast-paced remote work environment.
- Willingness to travel and attend meetings in person when required.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $99,760 to $149,640. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible. Benefits: Unilever employees are eligible to participate in our benefits plan.
