About the Team/Role
The Client Relationship Manager will be responsible for establishing effective working relationships with Internal Partners, Large and Enterprise Clients, Partner Relationships and Client vendors.

How you'll make an impact
- Work with Internal Partners, Clients, and Carriers to ensure accurate and timely response to all outstanding issues in a manner that fosters mutual respect and teamwork.
- Respond to communications and requests from all Clients and Partners by stated timeframes.
- Manage ongoing client service relationships for clients through regularly scheduled meetings and effective communications.
- Maintain open and clear communication channels with Clients, Client IT Resources, and referring consultants.
- Communicate due dates, timelines and expectation to Clients and partners.
- Identify problems, summarize, and develop strategic solutions.
- Serve as the primary client contact that is responsible for the overall satisfaction and management of the client relationship.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of general health benefits, insurance carrier, company terminology and processes.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge about the assigned client(s), their key internal contacts, vendor partners and benefit program details.
- Evaluate assigned client plans and provide recommendations for efficiencies and/or other services that may improve the client experience and generate additional revenue through cross-selling.
- Meet or exceed retention goals.
- Serve as primary contact for clients' renewal and re-enrollment process, and function as liaison for internal and external client communications.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure routine successful plan administration, re- enrollment and to manage client expectations.
- Communicate with advisors and brokers effectively to enhance market reach and to improve client benefit plan offerings.
- Facilitate troubleshooting and resolution of high-level client and plan-wide questions or concerns by using client database and operational systems access to research and provide solutions.
- Educate clients on applicable federal and/or state regulations.
- Present at client employee meetings or benefit fairs to foster understanding of plans and enrollment process Demonstrate a “whatever it takes” attitude to ensure client satisfaction and to support key initiatives.
- Project a professional image in action and appearance.
- Consistently be on time for work, scheduled meetings and training classes.
- Ensure client retention. Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities and partner with Sales.
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work may vary depending on workload and seasonal business needs. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Schedule is determined by supervisor and agreed upon in advance.
Travel
This position requires up to 10% travel. At times travel is outside the local area and overnight.
Experience you'll bring
- Minimum 5 years prior account management experience
- 4-year college degree or industry specific designation or equivalent experience.
