Position Description: 

As a Restaurant Software Business Development Representative, you will play a critical role in the early stages of the sales process by identifying and qualifying potential leads. Your primary responsibility will be to generate new business opportunities and nurture relationships with prospects before handing off qualified leads to our account executives. Reports To: VP of PAR Sales

What We’re Looking For:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of sales experience in the software, SAAS or restaurant technology industry.
  • Restaurant Operations experience as Manager or Assistant Manager with strong understanding of back-of-the-house related responsibilities (staff scheduling, cost of goods reporting, POS Systems, etc.)
  • Proven track record of successfully generating and qualifying leads, with a focus on B2B sales.
  • Experience with Salesforce or a relevant CRM system and sales automation tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and build relationships with prospects.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and active listening skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, able to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and software applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events

Unleash your potential: What you will be doing and owning:

  • Conduct research to identify potential restaurant clients and generate leads through various channels, including online sources, industry events, and cold calling.
  • Engage in outbound activities, including email campaigns, cold calls, and social media outreach, to introduce PAR’s restaurant software solutions, focusing mainly on PAR POS, Data Central Management Suite, and PAR Payment Solutions.
  • Conducted discovery calls with potential clients to understand their needs, pain points, and requirements and effectively communicated the value proposition of our software solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align lead-generation strategies and refine messaging for targeted campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities, leads, and interactions in the CRM system.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of the restaurant industry, market trends, and competitors to position our solutions and effectively provide consultative advice to prospects.
  • Build and nurture relationships with leads through ongoing follow-ups, providing relevant information, and addressing questions or concerns.
  • Collaborate with the account executives to transition qualified leads and ensure a smooth handoff.
  • Achieve and exceed assigned quotas and sales targets.

  • Interview #2: Video interview with the Hiring Manager (via MS Teams)
  • Interview #3: Video interview with the Team (via MS Teams)

Compensation:

This position will be made up of base salary and commission based on sales targets and other KPIs. The base salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 USD per year commensurate with work location, experience, skills, certifications, education, and prior accomplishments.
