Summary
As a Business Development & Channel Partnerships Account Executive at Hummingbird, you'll spearhead new client acquisitions, meet growth targets, develop strategic proposals, and foster client and 3rd party partner relationships to drive business development and ensure client satisfaction. Your role is instrumental in shaping the future of healthcare, optimizing technology to enhance patient experiences and support healthcare providers.Responsibilities
Compensation: Starting at $152,000+, based on experience.
Benefits Eligible: Yes.
Travel: 25% for client visits, training, and company events.
Work Location: This position is remote. You must work from a location within the United States with consistent internet service.
Client Acquisition and Expansion
Independently lead the identification and engagement of new clients, converting them through tailored sales strategies.
Drive expansion opportunities across Hummingbird service lines at existing clients.
Ensure clear communication of new Hummingbird services to advance each client’s journey.
Develop and monitor account plans outlining strategic objectives and milestones in partnership with Hummingbird Client Success Executives.
Enter and maintain opportunity, contact, and account-related data in the Hummingbird CRM.
Partner with Marketing and internal teams to regularly evolve and enhance the Hummingbird story, sales collateral, and client outcomes.
Sales and Revenue Generation
Achieve company revenue targets, devising strategies to enhance sales and profitability.
Analyze sales data against targets and provide regular reports and insights on business development outcomes.
Proposal Development and Negotiation
Collaborate with internal teams to craft and refine proposals that meet client and/or 3rd party partner needs.
Oversee the end-to-end proposal, quote, and statement of work (SOW) lifecycle, including proposal presentation, addressing client concerns, and negotiating contract terms to secure new business.
Independently manage contract renewals and extensions.
Client and 3rd Party Partner Relationship Management
Lead the sales-to-delivery transition process, ensuring internal and external readiness.
Serve as the primary executive contact for assigned clients and/or 3rd party partners, addressing issues promptly.
Collect feedback and provide regular performance reports to leadership.
Collaborate with Hummingbird service lines to identify opportunities to address continuous improvement initiatives and inefficiencies to existing processes.
Team Leadership (Only if Serving in a Team Leader Capacity)
Provide guidance and mentorship to a small team of individual contributors, offering regular feedback on performance, strengths, and areas for improvement.
Conduct regular 1-1 meetings with team members, offering guidance and support to help them overcome challenges and achieve their objectives.
Collaborate with department leadership to set performance objectives and development plans for team members and conduct performance reviews.
Lead by example in demonstrating high performance standards and expectations.
Required & Desired Skills
Required Skills and Experience
7+ years of experience in healthcare sales, business development, or a related field.
Familiarity with healthcare technology or professional services industries.
Proven track record as an account executive or senior account executive.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage client and third-party relationships while achieving growth objectives. Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning abilities.
Ability to independently conduct complex work with minimal supervision and extensive latitude for judgement.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience selling to health systems leveraging Epic as their EMR.
Experience selling Patient Access Services.
Experience selling managed services.
Experience leading proposal development and contract negotiations.
Established relationships with potential clients and/or 3rd party partners.
