We are looking for a AG Retail Account Manager to join our Agricultural Solutions team supporting customers in the Western US (Remote).

As a AG Retail Account Manager, you will focus on large regional agricultural retailers in your designated area. Your role with BASF will involve promoting products and services to enhance market share at key accounts. This position allows you to showcase your strategic vision, business acumen, and planning skills within the agricultural sector. Expect to travel up to 40% of the time, including weekly domestic trips within your assigned region, to build and maintain relationships with clients.

- Managing budgets for key Retail Accounts.
- Utilizing value-based selling and negotiation skills to drive results.
- Developing and executing a 3-year business plan for assigned key Retail Accounts.
- Collaborating with District Managers, Area Managers, and Strategic Account Managers to assess business performance and define strategic approaches.
- Serving as a leader in the local BASF sales team by sharing best practices and fostering a collaborative sales mindset.

- Possess a Bachelor's degree; an MBA is a plus.
- Bring 15+ years of experience in Sales or Marketing.
- Demonstrate expertise in developing and executing account strategies for large, complex Key Account organizations.
- Exhibit knowledge of the agriculture industry, particularly in Seed, Seed Treatment, and Crop Protection.
- Show the ability to effectively manage assigned discretionary budget and financial resources.
- Display strong decision-making and problem-solving skills to address challenges effectively.
- Maintain the capability to handle multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
- Foster a collaborative mindset, with a focus on cross-functional coordination.
- Demonstrate proficiency in CRM systems (Tableau, Salesforce) and data analysis to drive informed decisions.
- Exhibit adaptability to adjust strategies in fast-changing environments.

Pay transparency
BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $152,000 - $209,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
