Reporting to the Director of Grocery West, the Account Executive will plan and execute business-driving initiatives through internal cross-functional collaboration to achieve company objectives aligned with AWG, Hy-Vee and Fareway objectives. He/she will build a strategy for the Everyday Confections, Fruit Snacks, and Seasonal businesses to deliver profitable, sustainable growth for Ferrara.

  • Develop and retain long-term, collaborative relationships with Accounts via excellent customer service
  • Establish internal relationships to effectively influence and collaboratively achieve objectives
  • Own the Everyday Confections, Fruit Snacks, & Seasonal process and coordinate cross-functional needs while adhering to Ferrara timelines
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term strategies to deliver profitable, sustainable growth while mitigating risks
  • Meet or exceed company growth objectives while adhering to trade budget
  • Partner with Demand Planning and Supply Chain to ensure Customer Service levels are met/exceeded
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration with Category Management, Supply Chain, and Retail to maximize results
  • Desire to provide input to continuously improve processes
  • Demonstrate the company’s core values & adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Must reside in Kansas City, Missouri or Des Moines, Iowa. Ability to travel as required
  • Initiative-taker who proactively identifies business risks & opportunities with the ability to understand the financials of a P&L
  • Detail-oriented. Strong organization skills and ability to manage processes effectively
  • Understanding and ability to analyze data (Circana & Internal reporting), develop fact-based recommendations, and create & deliver strong presentations across functions & levels, internally and externally
  • Must partner with the Grocery Pillar to drive overall company Grocery strategy
  • Excellent professional communication, presentation, forecasting and negotiation skills
  • Strong relationship management skills, emphasis on collaboration and alignment, across functions & levels
  • Competency and/or demonstrated ability to quickly learn 
  • Excellent at multitasking and being agile
  • Ability to lift up to forty pounds

Experiences that will support your success

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. 

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of Sales or related experience collaborating with West Regional Grocers to include direct and indirect customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with emphasis on Excel & PowerPoint
  • Experience in Customer/Channel Marketing; Category Management and/or Sales Operations is a plus
  • Experience working in Confections is a plus

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $153,000 annually.
