Workforce Management Advisor, Capacity Planning - Evernorth - Remote

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Provider Network Operations Capacity Planning Lead, the Capacity Planning Advisor will collaborate with the Capacity Planning Lead, operational leadership, and matrix partners to evaluate, develop, operational Capacity Models that measure inventory, cycle time, productivity, and project staff supply vs demand while emulating business process. Ensures models and projects are completed within committed time/budget and are integrated with other related projects and initiatives, both vertically and horizontally. Actions have significant impact on key business objectives.

Candidates who reside within 50 miles of the following locations may be asked to work in person: Bloomfield, CT, Chattanooga, TN, Denver, CO, St Louis, MO, and Scottsdale, AZ.    

Primary Functions

  • Actively participates in and influences decisions around model requirements and design with matrix partners
  • Leads monthly/quarterly and adhoc Capacity Planning review engagements with business leadership and other matrix partners
  • Collects and converts business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications to enable and support managing operating systems related to labor demand, inventory, cycle time, and productivity
  • Leads and influences data policy to manage and monitor data compliance for critical fields within key applications that serve as basis for accurate measurement systems
  • Deep understanding of how to learn an operations key business processes and applications to determine the primary sources of data to measure the operation labor demand
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Experience with large enterprise business operations and planning; ability to lead all aspects of new model development, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Works collaboratively with stakeholders, enablers, and teams to create and deliver resources for long term capacity forecasts
  • Partners with business leadership to develop short term resource allocation plans, and short term tactical resource mitigation action
  • Responsibility of delegating capacity plan maintenance, and data collection to the Capacity Planning Associate while supporting/mentoring the role as needed.
  • Advises on Business Requirements for Daily Activity Log and other time measurement tools in the Management Operating System environment

Talent and Responsibilities

  • Ability to effectively project labor demand and compare it against projected labor supply by building predictive models that emulate the workflow of the operation
  • Work with business partners to analyze historic capacity model input data, and synthesize business intelligence to build predictive labor demand forecasts
  • Develop complex analytic models and forecasts using system, data and business metrics
  • Manage relationships with finance, business operations, and business leadership
  • Manage workload assignments across matrixed environment achieving optimal performance
  • Perform second level problem determination by using resource monitoring and data collection tools in capacity related disciplines
  • Analyze performance data, identify bottlenecks and recommend alternative solutions
  • Produce ad hoc resource usage reports and produce analysis of staffing recommendations
  • Primary contract for Operational Partners for all model requirements and changes
  • Cradle to grave ownership of the Business Function being planned for

Key Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • 5+ years experience relevant forecasting and capacity planning experience analyzing and reporting data
  • Experience with data management and advanced MS Excel is required and MS Access/SQL is highly desired
  • Exceptional communication (oral and written), presentation, and facilitation skills  
  • Demonstrated ability to research, problem solve, trouble shoot, influence and partner across the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional projects and initiatives independently and act as the point of contact to drive initiatives
  • Strong relationship building skills, demonstrated client management capabilities
  • Experience in creating strategic and detailed operational plans, advanced data management skills and/or project management required
  • Working experience with Global Service Partners both domestically and international preferred
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 91,900 - 153,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
