Workday Application Analyst
Remote US NC
The Workday Configuration Analyst is part of the Information Technology team and is responsible for the configuration, testing and implementation of business & technical requirements within Workday. The analyst will work in close collaboration with multiple Product Managers across several domains. This role requires strong communication skills to clarify work requirements and ensure precision in execution and serves as the Tier 3 technical support for any complex associate inquiries which may require configuration edits.
What will this role be responsible for:
Work with Product Managers to ensure solutions are technically feasible, consistent, and supportable; identify areas to reduce implementation and future maintenance efforts; receive business requirements and translate them into the creation of user stories with acceptance and testing criteria.
Configure Workday setup, business processes, creating condition rules, eligibility rules; improve existing configuration.
Interface with stakeholders to proactively address issues & support service delivery.
Develop and execute test scripts for functional and regression testing, and execute them as part of any Workday upgrade/release; coordinate testing with stakeholders across multiple teams.
Communicate enhancements and changes to stakeholders, including writing and publishing release notes and knowledge articles.
Migrate change through implementation tenants and ultimately release to production after successful testing, review and approval.
Required skills:
3+ years of experience in Workday Core HCM, required
Up-to-date Workday Core HCM and Workday Recruit Pro certifications, required
Experience with Workday Time and Absence modules, preferred
Experience participating in technical and cross-functional projects
Solid analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to complete assigned tasks in prescribed timelines consistent with deliverables and ask for support and direction as appropriate
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
Familiar with agile working methodologies to manage user stories across a kanban board from backlog through completion
Experience working with Talent Acquisition and Payroll teams to create test cases and define expected outputs
Ability to handle multiple priorities while responding with a sense of urgency to immediate needs and to use organizational and time management techniques to successfully complete tasks in a timely manner
Ability to work in fast-paced environment and with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
