This is a remote opportunity, open to anyone within the US.
We are looking for a VP of Strategy to lead our clients and internal Media Planning, Analytics, Insights, Technology, and Channel teams at Dentsu. Reporting to the Head of Strategy, you will apply your strategic insight to assess insights, cultural and societal trends, media developments, creative influences, and business dynamics. Your objective will be to create fresh and informed recommendations for communications and performance strategies, and media executions.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about data, mentorship, multi-channel strategies, industry insights, and promoting client relationships.
A command of Audience Insights and Media is necessary to develop insights that ensure outcome-led planning. An understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and syndicated tools will be beneficial.
We need someone who is an accomplished strategy trailblazer with experience in best-in-class communications and performance media strategy, who excels at cross-team collaboration and who can create positive, meaningful change.

STORYTELLIING
- Create presentation styles or techniques that are recognized and replicable.
- Present to C-suite and achieve high-stake outcomes
- Develop hands-on strategies and stories that change the way a client not only thinks about their business, but acts as a result
COUNSEL
- Establish a career partnership with assigned clients that transcends roles, while leading the communications strategy to ensure our services meet expectations, achieve our goals, and remain modern and industry leading.
- Be a visible part of shaping the strategy team culture leading growth for all direct reports inclusive of training, regular check-ins to discuss performance and organization of team deliverables, and contributes to everyone’s growth and wellbeing
- Develop and present expertise that inspires action
CONNECTING THE DOTS
- Collaborate with dentsu teams to align client and agency needs, promoting a unified “one team” mentality.
- Lead the development of data-driven strategies to inform testing across messaging, creative, audience, frequency, and channel mix.
- Evaluate and advocate for strategic recommendations, ensuring alignment with goals and promoting tactics, platform advancements, and tech partnerships.
- Develop insights and frameworks that guide client business growth beyond marketing.
- Inspire creativity by leading teams to create new solutions and identify broader opportunities.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Media and/or Communications Strategy.
- Fluency in creative strategy and different media channels (specifically digital), to improve communications and achieve brand and performance KPIs.
- Mastery in interpreting data and research to develop meaningful insights
- 5+ years managing/supervising a team of employees
- Experience navigating and communicating the complexities of the media landscape with diverse teams, and developing inter-disciplinary partnerships
- Experienced storyteller and presenter, accomplished in developing and delivering strategic presentations with the ability to think on one's feet
- Mastery of the entire media ecosystem, with the ability to bring, strategic insights on how we evolve as an agency

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $136,000-$219,650. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The company's incentive compensation plan is subject to change.
