VP, Professional Services
United States (Remote)
The VP of Professional Services is the strategic leader for our Professional Service Practice, providing oversight and support to our Project Management and Business Analysis teams. The VP will be accountable for management, growth, and maximizing revenue of the company's Professional Service Business, ensuring customers receive the highest level of quality service and support through their implementation and/or migration. The individual will continue our transition to a premier Professional Services organization, leading by experience and example to reach maximum client satisfaction, revenue, and profitability. The VP will be an integral part of a motivated, experienced team striving to guarantee our customers’ positive experience with us and our products.
This individual will develop strategic direction for Professional Services, build offerings, develop pricing, and align operations with industry best practice frameworks. In addition, the VP will be responsible for maintaining strategic alliances with internal teams, partners, vendors, and outsourced resources.
What You'll Do:
- Executive leadership skills including the ability to develop, influence and empower a diverse team to improve results
- Manage team performance to meet and exceed targets for revenue, margin, and growth
- Provide leadership across Billtrust’s Professional Services Organization to deliver a world class value add experience to our Customers and drive product and usage expansion.
- Responsible for managing the P&L for the department.
- Advance professional services capabilities through process improvements, tools, partnerships, and automation.
- Ensure that all projects meet client requirements and deliver high customer satisfaction & reference-ability.
- Meet revenue and profit budgets and maintain an accurate forecast.
- Recruit, manage & coach a diverse team of talented managers and individual contributors.
- Strong partnership and collaboration with other parts of the organization including Customer Support & Success, Finance, Sales, Product, and Development, to ensure alignment that is focused on customer satisfaction and growth.
- Serve as a leadership escalation point for all matters related to professional services.
What You'll Bring:
- A degree/postgrad degree in Business or a relative field, or equivalent work experience.
- 12+ years of relevant experience, including at least 5+ years of leading and managing cross-functional teams of PM’s and technical resources and 5+ years of experience delivering projects and involvement in selling services in the software / SaaS space.
- Practitioner level experience in translating clients’ business requirements into solutions and effectively positioning solution value
- Ability to interact and communicate for impact with all levels of an organization both internally and externally, including business and technical
- Confident ability to effectively lead, collaborate, triage and make decisions in a fast paced, changing environment
- Demonstrated strength in EQ (emotional intelligence)
- Strong customer service orientation; demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with client partners resulting in high client satisfaction
- Expert experience in negotiation and conflict resolution
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and experience in facilitation.
- Interpersonal skills with demonstrable success working effectively with clients and teams.
- Experience managing and growing a services organization in a high-growth environment.
- Experience developing methodologies that differentiate an organization from the competition.
- Must have operational experience to include creation of SOW’s, rules of engagement, and contracts.
- Experience working closely with the sales organization, helping to pitch and close deals, including negotiating terms of agreements to the mutual benefit of both parties.
- Must have experience developing new business and nurturing existing client relationships
The expected base salary range for this position is $236,000-$307,000 annually.
Compensation may vary depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
