We are seeking a VP of Growth Partnerships to drive our strategic partnerships at Oura and grow our Oura awareness. This individual would be responsible for sourcing, developing and bringing to fruition key strategic partners to advance the growth and success of Oura. This role will build on the strength of existing partnerships, including women's health and others. The ideal candidate has experience building and leading a global team, leveraging their network of contacts to build out our partner base strategically, and has experience scaling systems and processes for a growth stage company. As the VP of Partnerships, you would help grow Oura by foraying into new user bases and building partnerships that focus on key pillars of growth specifically in women's health, movement, heart health and other strategic focus areas. The ideal candidate is results-driven, ambitious, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

This individual must also have a strong fluency in growth marketing metrics, analytics and incrementality measurement. They should have a deep understanding of how to measure and optimize the psychographic and demographic targeting and incremental impact of each partnership on both CAC efficiency and brand awareness growth. The VP of Growth Partnerships will be responsible for ensuring partnerships drive measurable business outcomes leveraging data driven approaches to assess and refine strategies in partnership with Growth Marketing.    

They will educate key partners on how Oura can help them powerfully understand their biometrics and health, and will have proven experience in driving results and successfully engaging with leaders in the health and wellness field. This individual will be tasked with scaling the partnerships organization and building out robust customer segments to their next level of maturity. S/he will partner closely with our Product, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams to better strategically reach our future Oura Ring users.

What you will do:

  • Within the first 12 months, be responsible for growing key areas of the business accounting for over 20% of the overall growth, focused on women's health and high impact areas of the business. 
  • Build business cases for strategic partnerships value and investment of resourcing
  • Develop the overall strategy and focus for Partnerships that drive awareness, working closely with Product Management. Key focus areas include, Women's Health, Brand Partnerships and Health and Wellness. 
  • Prioritize growing awareness of the Oura brand and leverage partnerships that doubles Oura aided awareness, in deep partnership and collaboration with the marketing team. 
  • Advance partnerships that increase the LTV of the Oura member base 
  • Open up new channel partners to scale process efficiencies and accelerate sales 
  • Represent the Oura brand when engaging with strategic partners and educate executives on Oura’s features and capabilities as a subject matter expert on the product
  • Work collaboratively with the Customer Experience and Marketing teams throughout the product implementation to increase utilization of the Oura Ring to its fullest capacity
  • Partner with corporate development on identifying key opportunities for Oura and overall understanding of the landscape
  • Own and manage the contracting process with our Legal and Regulatory teams to ensure that we develop clear expectations and accountability
  • Understand Oura’s market opportunities and analyze potential leads through strategy development, market segmentation, competitive analysis, and financial analysis
  • Partner with cross-functional teams through all aspects of partner and business case development, product requirements, negotiation, and contracts
  • Provide regular communications to executive team on partnership strategy and results
  • Participate in corporate development activities as needed as the company grows 

We have offices in San Francisco and San Diego for those who prefer hybrid or office settings. Oura employees in other major cities (like Boston and New York) occasionally gather informally at local co-working locations.

Requirements

We would love to have you on our team if you have:

  • 15+ years of direct experience in a commercial-focused role in health technology and services as an outward-facing representative of the company
  • Preference for experience in women's health tech companies 
  • Experience leading teams, cross functionally and directly to advance commercial goals 
  • Proven track record of success developing strategy and growth through partnerships including prospecting, qualifying and closing on key business leads and targets within the health and wellness industry
  • A passion for developing new business, and proof of experience breaking ground into new customer bases
  • Strong leadership ability and people management skills. Holds themselves and their team accountable for hitting metrics
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You can explain complex issues in simple terms and adapt your tone for different users
  • Driven self-starter who excels in an ever-changing environment and is comfortable with ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, such as Product and Operations, and collaborate across remote, centralized, and international teams
  • Passion for the Oura product and our mission to empower everyone to realize their health

Salary range: $233,750 - $275,000
