The Vice President of Client Management role is a leadership role within the Group Insurance Distribution organization that focuses on maximizing the inforce book, specifically driving inforce growth through upsells/cross sells, driving persistency, and executing renewals on our 50-5000 lives client base.

 

What you’ll Do:

•    Be a local market leader and resource that has in-depth knowledge of insurance coverages, products and staying abreast on industry updates/changes.
•    Responsible for the market’s inforce book; includes persistency and growth via both upsell and re-enrollment.
•    Participates in the development of business plans to achieve regional goals.
•    Develop regional strategies in support of persistency, inforce sales, and renewal goals.  
•    Leadership responsibilities of the O500 Client Managers and direct reporting relationship of the U500 Account Executives and responsible for coaching, on-boarding, training including upskilling, mentoring, and developing team to achieve needed results.  
•    Develop, foster, and expand deep client and producer relationships establishing leadership presence in the local market.
•    Partners with Regional Market Manager's and Client Advocacy on service escalations driving issues to resolution with a key focus on identifying root cause and trends for further analysis.
•    Participate in projects representing the field, client, and customer viewpoints with an eye towards growth and the client/customer experience.  

 

What You’ll Bring:


•    BA/BS Degree required 
•    5+ years of professional experience in the Group insurance industry with a background in sales and/or client management

•    Strong leadership skills; ability to effectively hire, develop and lead a team to high performance maximizing inforce growth opportunities.
•    Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation, and interpersonal skills.
•    Deep understanding of product solution features and market dynamics in the Group Insurance space.
•    Ability to navigate and build relationships internally.
•    Strong organizational and execution skills.
•    Strong negotiation and influencing skills. 
•    Ability to quarterback complex issues.  
•    Ability to handle multiple tasks at once while prioritizing as needed.

Working Conditions
•    Ability to travel domestically/overnight up to 50% may be required
•    Base Pay + Incentive Comp
•    Location: San Diego, CA (primary), Glendale, CA or Phoenix, AZ

Pay Transparency

Salary range: $210,000 (base plus incentive compensation) 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: No 

Sales bonus eligible: Yes 

 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
