Job Description:

We’re excited to introduce a new role within our Commercial team at DTN! We are seeking a Value Advisory Director who will play a key role in delivering technical sales and value propositions for our existing and upcoming solutions. DTN Value Advisory (DVA) is a strategic sales support function that will work closely with customers to align with their strategic objectives, understand their business challenges/pain points, map DTN solutions to their business needs, and develop a compelling business case to clearly articulate the business value of DTN solutions to the customer's.

 

About the role: 

 

As our Value Advisory, you will work closely with our clients to understand their business needs, demonstrate the value of our solutions, and ensure that our products and services align with their strategic objectives. You will act as a bridge between the client and our technical and sales teams, translating complex technical solutions into clear business benefits. 

 

What you will be responsible for: 

  • Collaborate with clients to identify their business goals, challenges, and opportunities. 

  • Conduct detailed assessments to understand client needs and demonstrate how our solutions can deliver measurable value and ROI. 

  • Develop comprehensive field sales value-based selling programs

  • Craft & deliver customer value discovery workshops

  • Coordinate with other DTN teams and resources to drive a consistent value messaging throughout the sales cycle

  • Create and deliver compelling presentations, demos, and proposals that align with client requirements and business objectives

  • Work with product and technical teams to customize solutions and ensure they meet client needs and expectations. 

  • Provide input on product development based on client feedback and industry trends to enhance value delivery. 

  • Lead/support the implementation of client projects, ensuring that solutions are delivered on time and within scope. 

  • Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues or obstacles that may arise. 

  • Partner with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to drive client engagement and satisfaction. 

  • Share insights and best practices with internal teams to improve overall business value strategies and practices. 

  • Stay current with industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to provide relevant and strategic advice to clients.

  • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, including whitepapers, case studies, and industry presentations. 

What you will bring to the role: 

  •  Prior experience in business consulting, technical sales engineering, or a similar role, with a focus on demonstrating and delivering business value. 

  • Oil & Gas industry experience preferred either in management consulting and/or as an industry professional

  • Value Advisory, Sales Engineering, or a similar role, with a focus on demonstrating and delivering business value

  • Have successfully built similar programs in the past 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong record of accomplishment in delivering client value and ROI. 

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and compellingly. 

  • Proven experience in developing and presenting business cases, ROI models, and value propositions. 

  • Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and manage client relationships. 

  • Client-focused with a strategic mindset and a passion for driving business outcomes. 

  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities and projects. 

  • Collaborative and team-oriented, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $135,000 and $180,000. DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
