About the role

The Tech Partnership Manager will play a key role in identifying, cultivating, and managing relationships with technology partners and other named tech-focused partnerships. This individual will be responsible for evaluating potential partnerships, building growth strategy, negotiating terms, and ensuring the effective execution and management of ongoing partner relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technology ecosystems, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a passion for innovation and collaboration.

  • Strategic Partnership Development:
    Identify, evaluate, and negotiate new partnership opportunities with technology companies (ISVs, SaaS providers, cloud platforms, hardware manufacturers, etc.) to enhance product offerings, improve customer value, and expand market reach.
  • Relationship Management:
    Manage and cultivate long-term relationships with key technology partners. Act as the primary point of contact for partner communications, resolving issues, and ensuring alignment of business objectives.
  • Partner Ecosystem Growth:
    Drive the growth and expansion of the company’s partner ecosystem by identifying emerging technologies, market trends, and potential partners that can contribute to achieving business goals.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    Work closely with internal teams (Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Legal, etc.) to ensure smooth execution of partnership agreements, product integrations, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Business Development and Revenue Generation:
    Collaborate with Sales and Business Development teams to integrate partnerships into the company's sales strategy. Contribute to revenue targets by leveraging technology partnerships to drive joint sales opportunities, co-marketing campaigns, and product enhancements.
  • Contract Negotiation and Management:
    Lead the negotiation of partnership terms and contracts. Ensure that all agreements are aligned with business objectives, legal requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Monitoring and Reporting:
    Track and report on the performance of technology partnerships. Analyze metrics such as joint revenue, customer engagement, and partner satisfaction to assess the impact and success of partnerships.
  • Market Insights & Competitive Analysis:
    Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and new technologies that could present opportunities or challenges for the business. Share insights with leadership and key stakeholders to inform decision-making.

What you bring to the role

  • 3-5+ years of experience in technology partnerships, business development, or a related field (preferably in a SaaS, cloud computing, or technology-focused environment).
  • Proven track record in managing and growing strategic partnerships with technology companies.
  • Experience in contract negotiation, partner management, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong understanding of technology ecosystems, product integration, and business models.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels, from technical teams to senior executives.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and identify partnership opportunities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM and project management tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Asana, or similar platforms).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field (MBA is a plus)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), SaaS solutions, APIs, or other technology integrations.
  • Prior experience working with HRIS tech or global technology partners.

  • Strategic Vision & Execution
    Bring a proven ability to identify high-potential partnership opportunities, align them with business objectives, and execute partnership strategies that drive growth. Whether it’s expanding product reach, co-developing new solutions, or optimizing existing workflows, you will have a keen eye for identifying how partnerships can create long-term value for all parties involved.
  • Relationship Management & Communication
    Building and nurturing strong, trust-based relationships will be at the core of your approach. Excel at managing cross-functional teams, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring clear communication between engineering, product, and business teams. Your approach to partnership management fosters collaboration and ensures both technical and non-technical teams stay aligned throughout the lifecycle of a partnership.
  • Negotiation & Deal Structuring
    Bring experience in negotiating complex partnership agreements, from structuring deals to defining mutual goals and KPIs. Balance the needs of the business with a partner-centric approach, ensuring win-win outcomes that provide measurable value for all parties.
  • Market Insight & Adaptability
    Ability to stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor landscapes allowing for identification of new opportunities for innovation and growth. You are agile and comfortable pivoting strategies based on market dynamics, ensuring that partnerships remain relevant and productive.
  • Results-Oriented & Data-Driven
    Approach partnership management with a results-driven mindset, leveraging data and analytics to measure the success of initiatives and optimize future efforts. Track key metrics, monitor performance, and continuously refine strategies to ensure partnerships deliver tangible business outcomes.

Travel Requirements

  • This is a remote position, but candidates must be open to frequent travel (up to 30%) for team meetings, client visits, and training sessions.
  • This role involves travel to industry conferences and trade shows (up to 20%) and occasional site visits for partner presentations and in-person business reviews (monthly and quarterly as well as ad-hoc)

Compensation - At Human Interest, there are a number of factors that are used to determine the appropriate pay range for each position. We take into account the cost of labor for each position in various markets across the US. The base salary for this position spans $87,500 - $90,000 and represents the minimum in our lowest geographic region to a maximum in our highest geographic region. The salary that we offer to a new employee within this range is based on their location within the US, their relevant job-related skills, and experience. At Human Interest, base salary is one component of the overall Total Rewards package. This position will also offer a yearly variable target of $90,000 that is paid out monthly.
