Reporting to the Senior Manager, Non-Product Supply Chain Contracts, this role is a strategic partner within the Non-Product Supply Chain organization.  This position coordinates with business partners on supply chain contract matters, manages a complex portfolio of supplier contracts, communicates with supply chain leadership, to develop, implement, and achieve short and long term business objectives.

What You Will Do:

  • Drafts, generates, negotiates, interprets, and manages complex contract documents, in accordance with internal and external customer schedules and requests, to ensure these documents properly reflect business objectives.

  • Performs analysis and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters.

  • Manages medium-sized projects.

  • Reviews contractual terms and conditions for their acceptability, as well as assessing the risk and impact. Analyzes contracts to ensure compliance to company policies, government and commercial specifications and other requirements.

  • Uses legal resources and other subject matter experts to ensure all levels of risk are recognized and subsequently addressed through development of unique contract terms and conditions.

  • Briefs Management and other functional areas on contract status, risk mitigation and contingency plans based on developed recommendations.

  • Supports opportunities to streamline work flow and improve quality of work product. Brings forward recommendations to increase efficiencies through use of tool or process enhancements.

  • Supports tracking of key functional metrics to improve effectiveness.

  • Represents the organization on legal issues concerning contract matters.

  • Provides legal advice on contractual matters and contract administration.

  • Maintains historical contract records.

  • Must be willing and able to travel 5% of the time

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience 

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined

  • 5+ years experience negotiating, reviewing and editing contracts

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Aerospace contracts experience

  • Juris Doctorate or Advanced Degree in Business Administration

  • Experience leading a team

  • Experience working in large matrixed organization

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles* will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
