This leader plays a key role in the development and execution of sub-segment strategy, operations, execution and growth.  

  • Identify new revenue streams and growth opportunities.
  • Works globally to build consensus, coordinate stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams to execute global GTM strategies.
  • Leads organic and inorganic growth initiatives
  • Leads internal communications and C-Level reporting

About the Role

In this opportunity as a Sr Director, GTM Strategy & Planning - MLF you will:

Support Subsegment Leadership & Operations

  • With GM, create and deliver annual plan, quarterly business reviews and other key presentations
  • Drive the creation and measurement of sub-segment OKRs
  • Facilitate sub-segment monthly & quarterly leadership meetings
  • Channel communications & strategic initiatives including: manager summit; leadership meetings; social responsibility; digitization of sales forecasting, pipeline mgmt. and analytics
  • Annual Sales Meeting planning and execution, quarterly updates
  • Liaise with commercial, product and other key partners to assess, implement and track key initiatives
  • Liaise with segment / subsegments to drive consistency and best practices across
  • Leads enterprise new GTM initiatives including NGCS (Next Generation Customer Success)

 Customer Focus

  • Understands NPS and eNPS and drives improvement, collaborating across the TR enterprise
  • Support customer advisory boards
  • Collaboration with Thomson Reuters Institute (LEI) on subsegment-specific thought leadership, events

Strategy Development

  • Micro-segmentation, market sizing, pricing and other commercials strategy and resource allocation 
  • Sub-segment growth plan, including roadmap prioritization (product, digital)
  • Business Development pipeline development, acquisition analysis, fit with sub-segment strategy, due diligence, post acquisition integration
  • Sub-segment business case development, including sign-ups and prioritization

Go-to-Market Optimization 

  • Ensure continuous optimization of pre- and post-sale process to grow revenue efficiently 
  • Subsegment performance measurement and operational effectiveness 
  • GTM tools adoption and optimization (I.e. SFDC and Gainsights) 

About You

You’re a fit for the Sr Director, GTM Strategy & Planning - MLF if your background includes:

  • Strategic, critical thinker, exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong financial acumen 
  • Adept in working with large and complex data sets and combining data from disparate sources 
  • Ability to collaborate with and present complex information to a broad audience of professionals 
  • Ability to lead, coordinate, and engage peers and advance both strategic and operational progress  
  • Action-oriented and self-motivated, able to prioritize and meet time-sensitive commitments  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong EQ 
  • Highly organized and detail oriented 
  • GTM experience and customer centric 
  • Talent magnet, development, planning, and mentoring/coaching  
  • Bachelor’s - or minimum of 8 years of professional experience required
  • 3+ years in a role requiring an analytical skillset and experience deriving insights from data
  • 2+ years of direct or indirect leadership experience
  • Experience presenting to executive audiences
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at an appropriate level (incl. senior-level relationships)

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and/or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $151,700 - $281,700. Eagan, MN; Ann Arbor, MI; Richmond, VA; Rochester, NY. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $131,000 - $243,400. Chicago, IL; Frisco, TX; Houston, TX; fully remote location. For these locations and any eligible US locations not otherwise noted, including for fully remote location if applicable, the base compensation range for this role is $137,900 - $256,100. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
