Our opportunity:

As a Senior Director of Document Automation, you will lead the development and execution of our document automation strategy, driving the integration of Agentic Process Automation (APA) and AI-based solutions to streamline and optimize document-centric processes for enterprise clients. You will lead a high-performing team responsible for implementing automation solutions that simplify the creation, approval, compliance, and management of documents across industries. This role presents an exciting opportunity to champion document automation and collaborate with various stakeholders to help organizations transform their operations and enhance efficiency.

You will make an impact by being responsible for:

  • Leadership & Strategy: Leading a distributed team of document automation specialists, solution architects, and engineers, ensuring successful delivery of document automation solutions across North America. Own the regional document automation strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business and customer needs
  • Sales Support & Enablement: Working closely with sales, partner, and solution engineering teams to evangelize document automation solutions, translating business requirements into technical solutions that demonstrate the value of our products. Support key sales pursuits, ensuring the technical alignment of document automation offerings with customer goals
  • Customer Engagement & Solution Design: Leading enterprise-level engagements, guiding customers through the design, deployment, and scaling of document automation initiatives. Focusing on transforming document-heavy workflows (such as contracts, invoices, regulatory filings, and reporting) through automation
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluating and refining document automation offerings, ensuring they evolve with emerging technologies like AI, machine learning, OCR, and natural language processing (NLP). Provide feedback to product teams on features and roadmaps that can accelerate customer success
  • Partnership & Ecosystem Development: Building strong relationships with key channel partners, system integrators, and third-party vendors to expand the ecosystem around document automation and drive revenue opportunities
  • Metrics & Performance: Owning key business objectives (MBOs) related to revenue growth, new customer acquisition, product adoption, deal expansion, upselling, and team performance metrics
  • Team Development: Hiring, mentoring, and developing a talented team of document automation professionals. Providing guidance, training, and opportunities for skill advancement to ensure continued team growth and success
  • Market Leadership: Becoming a recognized subject matter expert in document automation technologies and strategies. Educating internal and external stakeholders on the benefits of document automation in driving operational efficiency, improving accuracy, and ensuring compliance
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating with product, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure product features align with market demands and customer needs in document automation. Championing customer success stories and feedback to inform future product improvements

You will be a great fit if you have: 

  • 15+ years of experience in document automation, digital transformation, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing automation projects or teams
  • A degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred
  • Proven track record of leading and scaling high-performing teams in document automation and intelligent automation (RPA, APA, AI/ML) within fast-paced, tech-driven environments
  • Deep expertise in document-centric workflows and automation technologies (IDP, OCR, NLP, e-signatures, automated generation), with enterprise implementation experience
  • Strong grasp of the business value of document automation, effectively communicating its impact on efficiency, cost, and compliance across industries
  • Client-facing experience in consulting, designing, and delivering tailored document automation strategies and solutions
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across the region to meet with clients, partners, and prospects as needed

  • Consulting & Solution Design: Expertise in designing tailored solutions for complex document automation challenges, ensuring the alignment of technical solutions with business objectives
  • Product & Market Influence: Ability to collaborate with product and engineering teams to influence the development of new features that align with market needs and customer demands in document automation
  • Process Optimization & Innovation: Proven track record of optimizing document workflows through automation, driving both innovation and continuous improvement
  • Team Building & Mentorship: Strong leadership and team development skills, with a focus on hiring, mentoring, and empowering team members to achieve success
  • Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including C-level executives

The on-target earnings (base salary + on target incentives) for this position in California, New York, and Washington is $305,000 – $320,000 and outside of those locations is $295,000 – $310,000 a year. The base salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity and a full range of medical and other benefits.
