Sr. Business Manager, Strategic Planning - Capital One Shopping (Remote-Eligible)

Within Capital One, the Shopping team is working on a new consumer product that seeks to change the way people buy things online. Our mission is to deliver a best-in-class shopping and savings experience for our millions of customers while driving incremental and sustainable sales for our merchant partners. The Strategic Planning team is focused on Shoppingās long-term strategy to win with both advertisers and consumers.

The ideal candidate is resourceful, motivated, and self-sufficient, with demonstrated success in spearheading cross-functional projects that drive the growth and success of a business.
In this role you will:Ā
Lead strategy definition, articulation, and progress measurement in close collaboration with Shoppingās leadership team
Conduct data analysis, develop insights, and collaborate across the team to identify, define, and drive alignment on new opportunities
Develop executive-level messaging and materials, including regular strategy and performance updates to SVP and EVP-level stakeholders
Research, define, and monitor an evolving suite of executive-level KPIs
Drive architecture, development, and execution of rhythm of business and special projects (e.g., MBRs, annual planning, budget management)
General Responsibilities:
Strategic leadership: Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory behavior
Business ownership: Have an ownership mindset, and potentially P&L accountability for a business segment. Strategic planning with a 1-6 month horizon
Leadership: May manage and develop a team of analysts. Coaching and mentoring associates throughout the organization with a goal of developing and retaining talent at Capital One
Product: Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products; lead product level modeling/analytics
Marketing: Lead direct to consumer marketing efforts for select products, and strategic intent for products distributed through various channels. Build targeted insights to inform the design and development of new customer experiences, as well as breakthrough technology and concepts designed to deliver on new go-to-market strategies
Execution: Coordinate across the line of business to manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements and execute against ā¦
